I love this ongoing debate among fans wether or not it's an original album or a soundtrack. I agree with you that of course it's both. I just always feel that fans don't want it to be part of her album discography because it's not as contemporary as the rest of her catalogue. Talk to a Prince fan and tell them Purple Rain doesn't count as an album, or Parade for that matter. Not sure though if she wanted additional songs in the movie as she only started writing and recording long after shooting was done. The three Sondheim tracks are also rearranged and re recorded for the album.

Right, but the question was, how is she going have time to "prepare for the show" being she has a week, when it would be no different than her traveling to another venue currently with a couple of days in between. If she's virtually doing the same show or an abridge version, she won't need to do much than what she normally does when queuing up with another venue on tour.

I love that even possibly knowing how her dad felt about Madonna, she still is able to appreciate Madonna. After all, Madonna really never said anything bad (publicly) about Jackson. Jackson comments may have been in confidence, but unfortunately we know he didn't like her very much. I'm sure Madonna made Jackson feel very uncomfortable and didn't like to be pressured by her and once they parted ways in the 90's, harbored ill feelings towards her.

After her never-experienced-before coma and life scare, I'm just very confused why she hasn't been madly inspired to write and release a new album based on that and other events! I'm just assuming. While you are right that it's probably not related to Madonna as he own personal project, I doubt a serious label like Sony would be involved in using Madonna's name without her permission. I still think that a reality competition is the most likely scenario.

There's no "mess". You're just making unrealistic expectations. They are simply updating her catalog with what is already mostly out there. There is no need to make huge announcements nor are they required to update the streaming/digital catalog with rare edits and remixes that most people don't care about. As @Jackiestated, it's "not perfect", but no other artist's digital/streaming catalog is either. We should definitely be grateful that they are at least updating the digital/streaming catalog with what was originally released physically and then some. There is no need to become so enraged over this process! It is; what it is! Could it be done better? Possibly, but like mentioned, they are at least updating her digital/streaming catalog with what's been originally released at best!
