  1. It’s this type of attitude from some fans that have allowed this behaviour to happen, if you have a negative opinion against Madonna then you’re not a really fan. Grow the F up!

  2. Y’all went almost an entire page over a random tweet? It started around 10:45-10:50 and finished just before 1:30. I posted on MadonnaTribe about it. It was an AMAZING show tonight!

  3. I wish she removes the two cover songs and skips the chat, Polaroid and beer part and adds Easy Ride, Looking for Mercy, Bad Girl, The Power of Goodbye, Beautiful Killer and Wash All Over Me.

  8. What does having an opinion on something Madonna related on a pop music forum, have anything to do with climate change or whatever else? lol People overly defending her and overly attacking her are both doing way too much. She's late, some people don't like it and they have every right not to - others don't mind. It is what it is. Not unimportant and not the end of the world.

  9. If M wanted to start her show at 12.30am each night then this should have been the time listed on TM for the presale and from the first day of ticket sales. Then everybody could choose and know where they stand. But that would never happen because everyone except M knows that these times would be totally unacceptable for business and general audiences. There can’t be any vital reason for the show to be starting at these times - other than M simply wanting to.

  10. Omg this is disgusting it really is putting me off going in February why is she doing this? 12.30 won’t be the time she’ll come on at 2, surely tickets wont be valid as will show a different day?

  11. I love the excuses people will make for her in order to defend her. They sure as hell wouldn't cut other people slack but since it's the Queen, it's excusable, she's been doing it since [insert tour name here], you're not a real fan, you waited all night what's another hour or two? Fine, you'll wait for her but the general public won't and to a degree she needs more besides her fans who will defend her no matter what to keep on touring and making this investments on her feasible. But you're right, we should just let her do what she wants because she's a Queen. (eyeroll)

  12. I was playing my CD of You Can Dance and I've noticed something a bit odd, well to me anyway! The CD version on the back cover says: Into The Groove (8:26) but my CD plays 8:05. But I have downloaded a version online at 8:26 and Spotify plays the 8:26 version The back cover of the CD also says: Where's the Party (7:16) but my CD plays at 7:36 but I have downloaded a version at 7:16 and Spotify plays the 7:16 version Does anyone know what's going on, are the times different on the vinyl and CD editions or am I going crazy?

  13. Our Infinity member @SimonVenekeoreport (edit) from MTribe + in bold letters my questions and comments about it: She was ON FIRE tonight. She even treated us to Can’t Help Falling In Love when talking her journey to Portugal. Simon, was it just a snippet or the full song? The Polaroid moment seemed short but sweet. I believe the winning bit was $3,000 by Gary (or maybe he bid more) who works at Google which Madonna said makes everyone lazy because ‘Look it up on Google, it must be true’ (like 500 people getting refunds perhaps). Your comment I suppose, or hers? The beer bitch moment was hysterical! At the stairs again and served by none other than Gary again. She made small talk with a couple who had been together for 16 years which blew Madonna away because they both looked happy. She asked if they had a prenup which they didn’t, which Madonna replied ‘Oh so you’re both broke’. Madonna said she wished she had one. When she asked if we enjoyed the show she got an enormous applause. She said we better because she’s making no money from the show and then laughed saying ‘You can’t take that away Guy Ritchie’. See, she can make a great and witty speech when she improvises on the situation!

I really don't understand why she has to come on so late, even if she slept all day and got up at 4pm, she could still start her show at 8:30/9pm. I do wonder if her coming on so late is just her going, I'm Madonna, I'll do what I want, keep complaining and I'll keep coming on late. But, as long as people still buy tickets and still pack out the venues, she's not going to change

She does change all those parts up now and then. We miss all that since not every show is recorded this time. Other than the key jokes, there's quite a lot of improvised chatter from one show to the next depending on her mood and the audience. Which is why it's better for her to start earlier, so everyone is in a better mood, but only she can control that.

  17. I had a good friend from Facebook who was there last night too with her sister. She dressed up in a white Disco inferno suit. Her sister dressed like Madonna in Medellin(on the left in the photo below. So cute. I don't know who the guy is on the right lol too fun). Here is what she wrote: Omgggggg lisa! It was the best show ever! If you still have a chance to see her somewhere, do it! The intimate experience made it more special too. She's beautiful as ever and her voice is strong.

  18. Nobody could confirm the alleged Ticketmaster mails were real. For instance @SimonVenekeodidn't say he received one. Imagine M going on stage at 10:30 and room is empty cause noone has arrived yet and she has to wait 2hrs! Or people arriving at 12:30 at she has left already!

In 1994 my best friend hated Madonna without any logical reason. I knew she loved ballads, so: Live To Tell La Isla Bonita Take A Bow Oh Father I'll Remember In 1995 my best friend became a casual fan.

  20. So true! She was so kind and captivating, she seduced everyone. "Vi vo(g)lio tanto bene, tutti quanti!" Now it looks like it's a privilege to see her, it is for us fans, but not for everybody. It's sad that young generations hardly know her. I showed my singing student live renditions of True blue 1987 (for theatricality in a rock concert) and Everybody 1993 (for band introduction) and they were so impressed. They hadn't heard the songs before. It's time to regain a little favour from the public. I feel like saying: God, I hope tonight's show went well...

  21. I loooove the Sticky & Sweet Tour one. I can only imagine being in a stadium with that high energy remix and the 50,000+ people singing along! MDNA Tour one is a fave too, after the singalong part how she sings it like ‘Wen you cull my name’ instead of emphasizing her words just gives me such chills for some reason I dunno why I love that part so much.

  22. We will never ever know what goes on behind the scenes, or what Madonna is going through inside of her - mentally and physically - so her behavior may be reflections of things that are brewing within or around her that we don't know of. This would make us "excuse" her behavior if we knew what was going on. However, to come on so late is a little quationable for me. It doesn't upset me cause it is after all seeing Madonna in an intimate experience and it's great! I imagine all my restlessness from waiting hours would be instantly wiped away once she comes onstage and see her in the flesh, so close and so almost tangible. But that is just me! All in all, I will be part of the camp that says "just be patient, and calmly deal with it because it's Madonna and it's once or twice in a couple of years! It's a living legend you're there to experience, let alone in a very selected intimate setting. Who knows if she will tour again!? Just be calm, patient, and enjoy what is the present and that is Madonna still doing what she is all about."

  27. Because we wish her a long career, with many more albums and many more tours. We want her to be successful, and maybe have another it, so it's embarassing to think Madame X sold half of the copies Rebel Heart did. It went to number one because copies were linked to tour tickets, but it disappeared in one week. And I live in Italy - where she is not coming on tour but where I keep hearing her new songs on the radio! We want her legacy to be recognized by public and critics, but this us not realky happening. Because I can't get out of my head September 4, 1987, when more than 14 millions of Italians sat in front on their tv to watch her live from Turin, and everyone loved her. And I'm not happy to read about people booing, or how she couldn't connect with the audience and was nasty with them. It can't be just ten diehard fans with an eyepatch.

  29. I just want to know what the hell she does backstage before the show. I refuse to believe she's actually back there warming up her vocals and rehearsing dance steps for hours before the show. We get it-she's a night owl but her 30-50 year old fans are not. I know she has said countless times that she promises to not a minute goes to waste and she's not just doing her nails and eating chocolates. But c'mon - if there's really that many difficulties with technical issues or even personal issues, just rearrange your damn schedule. Get up 2 hours earlier and be ready by 10pm. You know, like she did before MDNA.

  30. I feel like it has a lot to do with disorganization. I mean, every first date in each city has either been rescheduled/cancelled. And it seems like the first shows are always the most messy.

  31. I have this one too! And yes, I prefer to own the physical copies rather than digital (though I don't mind libraries on my laptop, phone) etc. I always dread when things aren't available on streaming or are randomly removed. Though, thank you to YouTube for uploading rare outtakes, demos, b-Sides and good fanmade mixes too!

  32. Yes, I most certainly do! And for the same reasons as you. Where is the thrill in a download, compared to buying a cd or vinyl, and have something in your hand? I hate that the last ten years have been without 12" releases of her singles. Just imagine how beautiful Turn Up The Radioo would look in 12"... But I buy what I find. Thank God for Record Store Day. It's old records in new colors, but that's better than nothing. Maybe Interscope could release a vinyl box of 12"es? One for each album. THAT would be great. And I think you mean Drowned World Tour. The Girlie Show (oh, what a masterpiece THAT is!) wasn't releasd on dvd until 1998.

  39. Part of me thinks she is doing it on purpose to start late. But yeah, her management needs to kick her ass a bit about getting on stage on time. Especially considering even SHE would be livid if anyone kept her waiting for 3 hours. That empathy she sings about in "Killers Who Are Partying" needs to be put to good use.

  40. Let's be sensible here. It's not even a question, of course she is sabotaging her touring career. The point is, she doesn't care. She doesn't need the money. She can't really have made it much clearer how much she doesn't care. This is her last tour with Live Nation. She doesn't even seem to be really enjoying touring that much (can't really blame her). It's why it's hilarious to me when people start posting a gazillion posts about how empty this show and that is. She doesn't care, so why should you? Are you her accountant or something? If she wanted the money, she knows how to behave. Regardless, she's not going to be in the poorhouse tomorrow either... I'm not one of those saying if you don't like it don't go. I absolutely understand why people are upset, outraged, etc. (and I've made it more than clear I'm one of them). But if you're at the point where you're physically sitting at the show, and it's starting finally, you can at that time either make the choice to try your best to enjoy it as much as possible or condemn yourself and everyone around you to having a guaranteed as shitty night as possible by throwing a tantrum in public. How you behave in public or whatever "contempt" you show really reflects more on you as a person than whatever Madonna is doing to you. Freedom's what you do with what's been done to you.

  41. Being that she has poor reviews on Ticketmaster since 2012 with late times (which was usually only an hour or so back then and got progressively worse), her midnight showtimes are only gonna hurt her more. Tremendously more. The general public will catch wind of this and won't buy tickets to see her in the future. Even her own die hard fans - let's be blunt - we're not getting any younger and it's gonna be harder and harder for us to go to these late shows and expect to be standing or dancing throughout the whole show. Could you imagine if Cher pulled this non-sense nowadays? Her fanbase wouldn't be coming back tour after tour.

  42. It's definitely a concern imo. The latest 12-12:30 time just seals this concern that much more. Also...Now that she's starting at midnight, is Live Nation going to change the time again and then she won't start until 2:00? Her attitude is starting to get to me too. I will always love her but ??!!!!

It's quite inexcusable I agree. Those who defend are defending for defending a same As a paying audience member you expect respect. But then again, this is the same woman who had banned phones from her allegedly-theatre-but-actually-a-concert show but was famously banned from attending a play because she's was the only one sat in the audience pissing about on her phone LOL.

No, but then again I doubt she could do my job for a 13 hour night shifts in a busy hospital either... and I'm always on time. And no, that staging excuse is bullshit. It's a basic cheap stage compared to other major tours. Everyone else gets on stage on time. Gaga (ew), Celine, Kylie, Selena, J-Lo, Ariana, Janet (urgh), Mariah... All on time for their show. Its simply her attitude towards the audience. She isn't doing anything extra, isn't performing to a better standard than the others. She's doing exactly the same, three hours late.

  47. Are you capable of getting on a stage and singing and dancing your ass off for 2+ hours? It’s hard work. A lot of production went into the creation of this tour. She doesn’t go on late for shits and giggles. There are a lot of moving parts and the lateness I’m sure is in part to ensuring that every element of the show goes off without a hitch. Everybody is a critic. I’m tired of “die hard fans” continuing to put her through the wringer simply because she goes on late. Get over it. Once again, if you have a problem with it, request a refund or don’t buy a ticket.
    2 points
  48. Again though, it's not negative energy. Negative energy would be an audience of people given free tickets that didn't want to go and make it known during the show. What she had last night was Reactive Energy, which was basically her breathing in the fumes of the mess she had created by her own behaviour. I genuinely hope the audiences grow more and more vocal about the lateness, and somebody heckles her brutally, because the way she's treating people who have paid a fortune to hear her. Most of the casual audience don't see her with your rose tinted specs, they see her as a successful singer, and they expect two way respect. Shes no Goddess, and she's not the elite. shes a performing artist, and we are her paying audience.
