I've said this before knowing anything and Guy's statement, because for a lot of us it was obvious that she's not well since some years at least. And it's not my personal opinion, it was OBVIOUS, and I think it's more responsible to admit it, than living in denial, asking her to dance more like if she's a funfair monkey or selling more, or making more records, or making more vinyls. or justifying all the BAD surgeries that she and her doctors did to her body. But I will stop here, because the other day I had angry people here asking how much I've spent on Madame X Tour (wich I didn't buy any tickets lol) and if I sued her because she cancelled it on the same day of the concert, and telling me to f*ck off. I prefer the whole Celebration Tour cancelled, despite I have good tickets, the money back for everyone and she having a happy and healthy life out of all this craziness. She gave us much, that she deserves the best and a good rest. Only a professional and good statement, no details needed of how she feels. I think that nothing good will come from a reschedule, and we will see more drama if that happens. Sorry if I sound negative, but all of this comes from a deep love to her, and her career. I would'nt be the person that I am today without her, like most of us.

Per Live Nation confirmation to Global News. https://globalnews.ca/news/9815506/madonna-celebration-tour-2023-pause-confusion/ Promoter Live Nation said in an email to Global News that as of Thursday, all dates on the tour are postponed. Once a new date is announced, or if new dates aren’t announced within 60 days, fans will be able to request a refund, the company said.

I don’t recall any of Madonnas team telling us porkies in the past? Can anyone remember an occasion? From memory she’s been pretty honest about logistical things. Being a Janet Fan you never take things at face value. Partly because of the Jancelations but also because the Jackson machine is notorious for being creative with the truth. However. I think the fact that the tour was so imminent changed the landscape somewhat. If this had been an incident with nothing pending we could have gone weeks and weeks without knowing anything maybe even someone from her team updating her insta with anniversary post or pics of the kids etc. We all know social media is smoke and mirrors a lot of the time. Guy simply had to put something out because of the page six article and before news from her dancers and band etc leaked out. There are elements of his statement that are pure damage control in terms of brand, financial and insurance purposes. There is obviously a bunch of stuff to put fans minds at rest. “she is expected to make a full recovery” ..at this stage has become more unsettling than anything. It’s an awkward position for him because he really can’t look into the medical Crystal ball and in times of health crisis all our loved ones would say “you’ve got this you’re a fighter etc etc”. So we just don’t know. He did say her health was improving and that the tour would be getting a new start date. I just don’t believe the whole tour will be cancelled and still think the tour will open in Europe. If it is cancelled indefinitely then we should be fairly worried. Maybe she is still non verbal. Her throat may be really sore from the tubes. If the body has shut down who knows what switched back on when you come to. It’s actually very unsettling. I think that’s why most of us who love this woman like a mother and not some twirling showgirl are angst ridden with whirling minds. I hope whatever is supposedly coming tomorrow is more than just a technical tour announcement. Obviously the sooner we have a new start date the more our minds will be at rest about her overall state of health. Sadly I know all too well that insurance and legal reasons means that a new start date does not mean the tour will start at that time. This could be the first in a series of uncomfortable setbacks. That’s business sadly. Bets are hedged. Despite the debatable unravelling of the Madonna mystery on social media over the last decade I suppose one thing was clear. We knew she was alive and with us. Many of us wished she’d step back from the platforms at times. There’s an odd element of careful what you wish for here. It’s a bit of a head fuck really. Until we see a post from her saying “day one rehearsals resumed” we’re literally not out of the woods. This all sounds grim but let’s be real. Until she’s back in the rehearsal room we can’t trust a damn thing. So for me… I’m not selfishly wanting the tour to resume because I want to see her twirl and not lose ticket money etc, I want the tour to safely resume because it’s the only real metric to indicate how her health is and how serious this whole episode has been. Ultimately that she is safe, well and still fighting fit.

All this is making me feel so sad these days. On one hand, I hope that M is recovering and that she will be back stronger than ever, because her health is the most important aspect. On the other hand, if the European leg will be canceled too, the whole situation is worse than expected. And this will be the second time that I will miss her seeing live on stage. And I have never had the opportunity to see her live the first time I got tickets for M was during the Madame X Tour in Paris and she canceled my show just two hours before start. So again, I know that M needs to rest because her health is the most important thing right now, but I can also understand the disappointment among fans. Let's hope for the best for both us fans and M

@eXtremeOccident We are already discussing the news on the other thread. After all, we don't have the statement from Live Nation, but just two lines from Global News. There is nothing official yet except Guy stating that everything is on pause. Unless @Jackie disagrees, I think it's better to lock this thread until further notice to avoid even more confusion.

Lol oh come on. Guy isn't going to post a statement that says "Unfortunately, Madonna ODed. She's now going through extensive withdrawal from painkillers. We'll have updates on the new tour dates soon." Regardless of if there's truth or not here, there's no way Guy would come out and say it.

EVEN IF Ticketmaster doesn't officially announce dates are postponed, the audience would be FOOLISH to show up at any of the venues. Anyone who shows up opening night with their ticket that was just sent to them from Ticketmaster, expecting a show that says it's scheduled to take place, is an absolute IMBECILE. I mean, the Guy Oseary statement has at least 200,000 likes on Instagram and it was on Google entertainment news for one day back in June! HOW could the average person not be up to speed on everything going on with THE Queen of Pop?! No one is too busy to be keeping track of Madonna and her illness, not even the people working 60-70 hour work weeks to pay for tickets that cost as much as a house mortgage! Ticketmaster doesn't owe anyone a statement at this point. If an audience member isn't following what's going on, so be it. No one is too busy to know what's going on with Madonna in the news. No one. This isn't on Guy, who went above and beyond with that two sentence screenshot of the notes app. And it isn't on Ticketmaster or Live Nation, which already did enough by posting the original dates in the first place. And the people flying there for opening night will probably moan YET AGAIN when they get there, just because the event that they planned their whole trip around isn't happening anymore. At least they get to go on a vacation! There, better? Are the delusional Madonna fans who don't care about the non-fans getting screwed over with this total lack of communications strategy happy now?

Obviously her health is extremely important but what a sad time it is for everyone the excitement of the tour we should of all been feeling now as a community it's just sadness and shock, who would have thought this could have been predicted when the tour was announced.

oh totally agree - but they do often have official insider stuff - so to post something so cryptic when fans are on tender hooks isn't the right time to do it - they could have said - 'we are sending out good vibes....good things come to those who wait' rathe then insinuating they know something, then having to post a clarifying comment. Yes agree, and that's probably why they mentioned if no dates announced within x days a refund can be requested. My heart breaks for her - this was going to be the celebration of her 40 years in business - I have to admin, like all of us, I am really down about it - was really excited to see what she was going to serve and so excited to see Stuart Price back. I am glad she is still alive and will recover - just gonna take time.

I think this is all planned. This announcement is the beginning of the tour. First she did an on stage fall. I gotta laugh when all these unreliable sources, especially the Faux News-owned companies, all come after Madonna. First it was being found unresponsive, then it was “metaphorically kicking and screaming”/protesting the decision of being sent to the hospital (which you can’t do when you’re unresponsive), then it was hiding a fever for months, then it was being weak and uncontrollably vomiting after being sent home, and now it’s being revived with Narcan after being “dangerously close to death”. Funny how they keep changing the story because nothing they have sticks. The latter was according to Radar Online, and I learned my lesson about them when they were reporting dumb and fake news about Cher earlier in the year.

I come in here to check for updates and I honestly don’t understand the need to speculate and make up stories. Feels like an utter waste of time to me. But whatever you guys need to do to cope, I guess. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m genuinely concerned about her health, just like most of us, but I kinda wish her team was a little bit more concerned and compassionate about our situation as fans too. Specially for the fans that made arrangements for the July shows. We were so close to see her videos, costumes, setlists; etc during opening night 😔

As for the health, I don't want to get caught in cospiracy theories about painkilkers, intubation, etc. but I too believe that they would never say the real cause if it was bad and might lead to even worse gossip. Also dogs, dancers, Rocco and friends, even Rosie's answers are just speculation. Do you really think that Rosie would take the responsibility to say to a worried fan "sorry, she is seriously ill?". I fear that if it wasn't quite serious we wouldn't have this heavy silence and she could have posted a short video herself on IG while resting at home (what Celine did).

Very unprofessional article. If that was a statement from Live Nation they would have made the whole article about it and not about some random fans talking about Madonna. It ould have been everywhere, all at once because LN would have contacted all major medias.

Never believe anything Radar prints, it's made up things all the time. It is not a reliable source. It's a pro Trump dump. There's no news, people are milking the same statement over and over and making things up so they can publish a new story. And no insurance company would let her go on tour without a complete check up by their team of doctors. They don't say anything because they don't know too. It's terrible for people who have bookings.

I'm really deeply worried now (and disappointed, let me say it) Wow, the whole thing stopped for the moment, if confirmed, is huge. I hope it's going to be corrected by Guy's next statement. With this Live Nation email news we can't consider the idea they are trying to reschedule the tour and will make a statement when they can give a safe plan to people for the new concerts. I'm more and more oriented to think that they are trying to verify her health situation in order to understand how to manage the tour commitment. She is recovering but not at the point they can start rescheduling her agenda.

I also love that yesterday we were totally psyched about her possibly starting the tour as scheduled -- and today we are contemplating whether she died and/was knee deep in the depths of addiction requiring narcan. Oye! Wonder what tomorrow will bring? What shall we call this soap opera we are creating?

We have all been playing "clue" since the news broke on M's condition, it has been a week! Due to the lack of ANY official follow up to Guy's statement, one can't help but go deeper and deeper (no pun) into the rabbit hole with every single tabloid report. We see Rocco smiling (good sign), we see the dancers at a hotel by Nassau (rehearsals resumed), we see Riccardo posting a pic of her dog ON WOOD FLOORS (she must be recovering in the Hamptons), we see Rosie responding with positive news on her being string (Great news), we see Rocco being back in London (assuming new photo, she must be doing MUCH better otherwise he wouldn't have left NY), we see this and that and we form our own narratives and yet, NONE of us know what exactly is going on BTS. As much as I think Guy is horrible at managing her overall (exception was when he filmed me singing LAP at MDNA and put in onto the DVD), I honestly think his hands are tied in this situation. He is most likely told by M to not provide any further updates until she is certain on how SHE would like to proceed with the tour. Madonna will ALWAYS be in charge. I bet the last 10 days have probably been the toughest on her both physically and mentally, she has never played the victim and she will not start now. Our patience is waning, but let's keep the faith and may the angels surround her to protect and watch over her.

Exactly. This is probably the most he's had to work in decades. Absolutely no sympathy towards him. Let's not act like he has at least 10 assistants/staff surrounding him that could make a simple announcement or take over her social media. He probably never dealt with a panicked situation like this before and doesn't know the best way to handle it. Just one simple update about the July shows (especially opening night) is all fans need that are attending those shows. Guy has and always will suck as a manager.

I do know that but what is being overlooked is tabloids are focusing on false rumours; literally NOBODY is highlighting the fact that the tour "will have a new start date." You just elaborated on the really issue at the end of your post - official sites are not mentioning anything and this is where the argument is being made. A majority of people with tickets have no idea if their show is postponed or not. Again us hardcore fans OBVIOUSLY understand the July shows are not happening, most ticket holders do not.

I know that, you know that, all of us on this forum know that.... But the remaining 99% of the people who have tickets for upcoming shows DO NOT know that for the simple fact they likely don't follow Guy O on IG. I don't need to get over anything as I'm not going to these first few shows. I'm simply saying I feel for the thousands and thousands of people that booked hotels, flights, took PTO, etc who still are uninformed if opening night is happening cause there has been NO official announcement on Madonna's social media, website, Ticketmaster, etc (you know, the places where people look for these things).
