It's not defending. It's simple understand that in a big production like this the start time it's not something that depends only on the artist. There many people involved many tecnologies. They work for hours before the show, they are not there sitting and do Nothing. I think every people in the world are not always extremely on time everyday in our job. Anyway a curfew it's always injustice.

Then why do we not ever hear of this happening for Beyoncé, Taylor, Kylie, Lady Gaga, Dua, Ariana, or countless others? They all put on productions near as large as Madonna, and yet they never seem to have these issues, which she’s been having for the better part of almost 12 years now it seems.

What is the acceptable threshold for what she should / shouldn’t deliver? Would it be good enough if it was 15 out of the 25 songs? What about 10? Where does the line get drawn for what she owes the audience vs. doesn’t?

In my humble opinion, each audience deserves the full show as they’ve all paid equal prices. I think it’s extremely valid for attendees to be upset, and I think this is a situation that continues to be one she could easily mitigate.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter…she got her money…she’s cashed in by calling this a greatest hits tour for one last sales boost…it doesn’t ultimately matter. If this is how she wants to end things, so be it. Just a bit of a shame tI watch as a fan, but if she wants her legacy to be an unreliable performer who had moments of greatness in her latter years, fine.

Of course they were, but they know the risks of a M show.

Allow room for other perspectives, its ok.

I'm not stifling anyone's perspective. I offered my opinion as you are.  People are entitled to say what they want.  I just don't think cutting Bob is necessary.  I honestly am not a fan of his, but what I've seen of him in the show, he's quite enjoyable.  I'm always open to others perspective.  :)

Be honest, are you paying that closely to those artists as you do Madonna to know for sure they don't have issues with such things?  I'm sure if we did some digging we'd see similar issues popping up if not others from over the years.  Also, there are plenty of high profile artists throughout the years who have amended their set lists from night to night because for one reason or another.

At the most people got a two hour show.  No one was cheated.  I doubt most people who attended really felt cheated being the show ran two hours as promised.

The songs she cut tonight aren’t really integral to the story arc. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Michael Jackson thing gets cut. It’s really unnecessary, and it seems out of place for her to be offstage for another four minutes and then come back for an encore, if that is indeed what Bitch I’m Madonna is meant to be. It definitely seems that the ending hasn’t been fully defined. It is the weak point of the show so far.

On a much brighter note, I found her performance energy far less rigid tonight, and she generally seems happy to be back onstage. I swear someone fed her those comments about her not singing on Erotica because I heard her live voice loud and clear tonight!

And for the record, I am not excusing the issue of lateness, particularly if it is going to impact a country where there are curfews (the UK…that’s it as far as I know). I’m simply saying that we have no idea what caused the lateness, and to indict her for it seems a little overzealous. Let’s hope she isn’t in agonizing pain or suffering from some sort of exhaustion. We know where that led to, and ultimately, as fans of Madonna I feel a little solidarity rather than accusation would go a long way. That’s just my opinion. I may be naive or too soft on her, but we almost didn’t have a tour or Madonna herself. I’d say that’s reason enough to chill.

Anyway - I guess it's easy for us who are not there to go omg how terrible - but those there, probably had the best time of their lives and it wouldn't matter if it did get cut short!

Exactly this.  She still put on one hell of a show.  Even knowing Bitch, I'm Madonna and the Like A Virgin/Billie Jean interlude was axed, what I watched tonight was hella fun and exciting. Certainly it was unexpected, but the show was extremely enjoyable.

This curfew thing in the UK is really weird.

Nonetheless she could be in time!

When I think of the MDNA Tour in Berlin, where M was not beginning before even 22:45pm and people were really pissed off already inside of the venue. Not only for her being late, but also because you couldn´t take the heat in the hall.
The whole day was super hot in Berlin and ended in a huge thunderstorm one hour after the concert.

Live To Tell from the opening night.

Yeah….I’m just gonna ignore this tour until my date comes in Denver. If Madonna cancels, I’ll be happy to get my money back. If the show goes on then hopefully the kinks will be ironed out by then. But the excitement and magic of keeping up with this tour has completely died for me.

Dude stop 🛑! 🤣

I was there tonight but thankfully avoided the set list so had no idea which songs were cut. Amazing incredible show..but it just cut off...My friends and i didn't care too much, however if i was her pilot flying her to New York and behind schedule and took the plane down 30 miles East - somewhere in The Atlantic , i'm sure she wouldn't mind

4 Minutes

are among the songs that were rehearsed but haven’t appeared in the setlist so far.

Also, where is that little bitch who said she wasn’t gonna pay tribute to friends, collaborators and mentors? 😂🤭✌️

OMG if JT joins her on stage again for 4 Minutes, I'll cry happy tears!

Stop with the “people got a two hour show”, or “what is missing is not relevant” this is pure BS, the missing part  is an integral part of this show and Madonna, either they were hits or not, people were saying the other day that this wasn’t a greatest hits but a celebration show, so if it had happened to me I would have been furious, I would have forgiven her but furious indeed people travel from SA, Australia and Asia to be there!

Do you really think that the people on tonight’s show live on a deserted island and they don’t immediately know that their show has been cut short??? Please!!!

We don’t even know if the ending of last night is the real ending or an abbreviated one there are some clues that might indicate that we haven’t seen it

I’ve never cared about her lateness but I don’t minimize the damage it has done to the casuals and even the hard core fans

These takes defending her on late starts have GOT to stop. Enough with this shit already. I’m so mad for the people who went this evening.

She can get there early enough to start the show. 8:30 on the dot. Other acts manage to do it. She’s the only one who seems completely incapable of doing it, and she has zero excuse. There was a time when her shows were far and above more technically advanced than others but that isn’t the case anymore. No other major artist has these regular issues where they have to offer abridged versions of shows because they can’t manage to get on stage on time.

Last night was excusable. The issues in the middle of the show were unfortunate and it was probably hard to adapt in real time.

This on the other hand was avoidable. Don’t use all the cameras if that’s what it comes down to.

Come ON Madonna. The world is ready to give you a chance to redeem yourself with your touring reputation and here you are fucking it up yet AGAIN.

This is the truth. Every artist is capable. Obviously a technical issue is what it is, but a camera should've been sorted out much earlier!

Kylie is always on time. The latest I ever waited for a Kylie show was fifteen minutes. I remember the Kiss Me Once Tour in Sydney actually started at 8:30 on the dot. For an arena tour you don't want it to be later.

But there's definitely no excuse. Everything should be checked well before, call times should remain the same. For the Celebration Tour, it's clear they need a little more time. Get the show started at 8pm.

That said, I think the London curfew thing is a little overdone, 12pm would probably work just fine.

This. Literally the first text I got from my friend who’d been so excited to go tonight was “it was phenomenal, but I’m so sad she cut the show short, I was excited for Bitch I’m Madonna and Celebration :suffer:“. Attendees know they didn’t get the full thing tonight.

As an aside, what a mood kill to have tube announcements in the middle of the drama of Bedtime Story of all songs :dead:
