I see and understand every point you make but let's not forget this is still a relationship between two consenting adults. I think the fact that you keep using and referring to the term "slave" in connection to Madonna's and Ahlamalik's relationship is extremely problematic in itself. You're basically victimizing a black man as a means to help save him from what you perceive as an "injustice", meanwhile he's fully grown and (as far as we know) fully capable of thinking for himself. Your reasoning as to why M is into younger guys is also pure speculation on your part, but i'll give you a pass on that since we're all really just speculating and no one here knows her personally. Agreed. A friend of mine and I went to see her on tour for shits and giggles, and were very impressed by how good of live performer she turned out to be. I've come to really like her. The new song's cute, too--the video gave me Open Your Heart vibes. She's definitely got the attitude to play M, but I'm not sure about the tone of her voice. But who knows.. I'm definitely open to letting her convince me. Nevertheless, I think that whomever they'd choose (aside from Lola, I suppose) would never be able to please the entire fanbase anyway.

I hated it when it first was leaked on Napster. The lyrics were so cringy. But that didn't stop me from buying every edition I could afford, so I have the cd-singles, the vinyl maxi-singles and the DVD-single. TODAY, I think it's a great bop. I listen to it from time to time and love to dance to it. It certainly stood the test of time, and is one of Madonna's greatest classics. My favourite remixes are Calderone, Deep Dish and HQ2.

Just wanted to add. The feeling I got was Madonna was more than okay for people to think she is gay or bisexual, but if she really were, she would be open about. I think she would have happily had a relationship with a woman by now if she were interested in women. I accidentally left out the last quote which is ambiguous.
