Yeah, many people suggest she should change the finale for the Copacabana show, and I agree. I'm not fond of the current tour finale, it wouldn't suffice for such a major event. Everyone agrees that Music is the ideal song for a finale. I can picture a million people singing, "Music makes the people come together." It would be incredible! And I will be there, so I hope this is what she's doing for the finale! It's the perfect song for a large audience.

It was 5 years ago today that we first heard Medellin on Zane Lowe, and it was released. I still remember downloading Apple Music to listen to it on my way home from work. It got a mixed reception from fans I think but I think it holds up really well, it's absolutely packed with hooks.

Well, it worked (commercially) with Nile Rodgers in 1984/1985, it worked with Nick Kamen in 1986, it worked with Dallas Austin and Babyface in 1994/1995, it worked (internationally, not that much in the US) with Britney in 2003, it worked with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland in 2008... Of course we all have personal preferences and she had indeed a reputation for discovering new sounds, trends and producers and making them mainstream, but facts are facts. She's gone with "flavor of the month" many times (even with Björk! She was exactly that in 1993/1994 after "Debut"), it's just a case of us fans liking that particular collaboration or not.

I remember watching the MTV premiere special when it was broadcasted and being with my mouth open about how gorgeous she looked in the video. About the song, when i 1st listened to it, i was a bit surprised, but when the "si te enamoro" part kicked in, wow, that was it!!! There was the chorus!!!!. For me, Madame X is one of her best albums, a beautiful inspired work of art, and those amazing videos... She put her heart and soul on the whole project.

I really hope the Rio show isn't the primary footage they use for a later release due to how different the stage will look.

A long career like hers is always gonna have peaks and valleys. Nile Rodgers helped her achieve superstar status, she wasn't there yet even though the first album was doing great. Maybe with other collaborator it wouldn't have happened. "Take A Bow" was the biggest hit of her career in the US. "Me Against The Music" was a European smash. "4 Minutes" is one of her biggest hits ever, even though some fans still don't want to acknowledge that. I don't know. The whole "she's better with unknown collaborators" thing is more myth than anything else, in my opinion. More of the same old "her last great album was Confessions". Then she works with Sickick and you all hate it xd

This is interesting ... I don't know how could it work honestly, as the meaning and the mood of the set was pretty coherent with DCFMA, but Music would really deserve her spot in the show. At the same time, the tour is ending now and I'm very curious to know: if you could change, add, cut just two things to arrange the show to your personal taste even more, what would they be? Just two, in the structure M wanted and created for her show. Mine are (considering Rain or Frozen for the last segment, as originally conceived) Cutting BIM and getting to Music when she gets the central stage, dancing it with all the cast for a bigger and more impactful finale I'm a great supporter and fan of the 80% of Madame X and I think that the catholic religion segment should have been a little longer. So after LAP I would have loved a one minute and a half performance of Dark Ballet, with Christ and the damned souls becoming oppressors on her. I think the sound of the Act of Contriction reversed choir and the Prince's electric guitar solo entering on the dramatic piano closing of Dark Ballet would have created an even more powerful effect of pain, violence and sacredness.

The stage is significantly different. The side catwalks are angled and now connected at the end of the main runway. The choreography is gonna have to be revised on most songs as she used to cut through the bridges to make it from one platform to the next. And they also hinted that the main stage may be rectangular and not circular.

Exactly! People always saying "her last hit was Hung Up". Girls, just because you don't Iike a song that much (4 Minutes) and you are stunning Hung Up, it doesn't necessarily mean 4 Minutes is not a smash hit. It's one of the biggest of her career. Yeah, "success" of MDNA/Rebel Heart/Madame X is a different story. But Hard Candy was huge af! 4 Minutes doing extremely well on charts, delivering one of the hugest hits in 2008 in US, followed by her most successful Sticky and Sweet Tour. We can discuss 2010s regarding Madonna's decline in popularity, but I don't understand why Hard Candy is always throw under the bus by some fans simply because they expected COADF2 and then end up not stanning the album. Yes, personally I don't prefer HC as well but it cannot be denied she achieved exactly what she and Warner wanted to achieve with that massive era.

The only reason I’m wondering this is she might want to do something completely different from the Celebration tour (as the tour might be getting so tiring for her now). New costumes etc. Nothing would surprise me.

For me "4 minutes" was not groundbreaking at all, especially in 2008. It just benefited from great public attraction because Madonna was coming from the mega successfull Confessions era and Justin was still big at that time. Musically the song is average, especially in 2008 when the Timbaland sound was already over.

According to Veja Rio’s journalists, this is actually the final map for the show. I cannot read anything but at the far right you can see that the stage is supposed to be exactly the same as the rest of the tour. I just can’t figure out where the VIP area is delimited?
