i don't know? I know some have those doubts, but it's just too good of an opportunity. The whole Warner deal has been surrounded by the idea of celebrating her 40th year in the business. So now we are finally reaching that monumental time. This is why I never expected any album re-issues until this summer. It officially kicks off her 40th anniversary of her debut album. Much like when Everybody came about last October. They re-issued the single on vinyl and added it to digital and streaming platforms. The video got it's HD upgrade as well. I don't know what else you can expect from that event? However, we have her first album about to reach the 40th Anniversary. With the tour coinciding with that celebration, it's too good of an opportunity to not go all out with merchandise and at least release the re-issue expanded version of the first album on all formats. This is the time; we all have been looking forward to. And if it's anything less as you described then I'm done defending this deal. I still have faith something is going to happen though.

It's not a literal paint-by-number ballroom throwback. It has ballroom ELEMENTS. The "Ha Dance" snare hit sample specifically. But also the rhythmic, staccatto synth stabs. Both elements are trademarks of the ballroom sound. But the rolling tech-house bassline during the drop and the middle eastern strings make it unique and separate it from being another stale ballroom track clone (of which there are a lot).

I saw something on twitter suggesting that the full length soundtrack may have been cancelled altogether, and the songs already released will become standalone singles, along w/episodic eps that have a couple tracks. It’s speculation but who knows. You can’t seem to preorder or pre-save the full album anywhere anymore.

It's great to re-read these old articles. I forgot about this one and how it actually defended her. This was at the height of her Madonna Mania in America. She was just beginning to take the world by storm. Prove everyone wrong... and right. She definitely was sexually provocative and continues to be so. I always thought of her as a modern version of Mae West. What's different about Madonna is she's shown so many sides of who she is and can be. Yet, we still are fascinated with her and still don't know her completely. While some may think she's got nothing left to unveil, there is still a mystique about her, that draws people back, even if it's for a shorter time these days.

Fun fact: both Vulgar and Sorry (Blond:sh Remix) reached 9M streams and entered the Top 100 of Madonna’s most streamed tracks on the same day. It’s quite impressive that 5 months after its release, the Sorry remix is still providing a solid average of 70-80k daily streams (twice the performance of Beyonce’s the Queens remix for example)…

Quite amazing how a little more than a week, that song has jumped up from #39 to #21. At this rate, it's going to surpass "Frozen (Sickick Mix)" in a quicker amount of time it took to be where it is right now.

Clearly they weren't open to even fairly critiquing Madonna. It seemed they just wanted to sit there and make fun of their Mom's taste in music, but noticeably, wanted Mom to approve their taste in music with the "The Boys a Liar" song. It's typical though from young ones like that. They don't see how ridiculous they look and sound, but are quick to point out how ridiculous (to them) Madonna looks and expresses herself.
