    I'm glad she is okay and is recovering. I am surprised that she was hospitalized since Saturday, since she's so active on social media. I don't think there really is anything to speculate. I don't think Guy owed anyone an update. It's nice he did, though. It was her health, and she has the right to her privacy. Had they said anything prior, it would have caused more panic from the general public. Some people just want privacy. TMZ sadly pays healthcare professionals to leak stuff, and healthcare workers are willing to break HIPAA compliances to share news stories for money. That's how people found out MJ died. I'm really surprised her confidentiality/privacy were respected. She's a workaholic. She's been rehearsing. She's a perfectionist. She has a work ethic. By the sounds of it, if she was intubated, she might have had sepsis. I'm glad she's okay and is recovering. I'm glad she had people near her to seek immediate care and support if there was a moment she was unresponsive. That's really sweet of Lola being there for her. She raised her kids well. Her health is a priority. If it means postponing her show and rescheduling dates, so be it. I'm glad I paid insurance for my ticket since I was more worried about COVID-19 when I bought them. She needs to be her best and feel her best to do her best. She deserves to rest. I'm glad she's well and was able to be discharged. We've lost so many legends along the way, and there aren't many people from her generation who are alive and people from this generation with that kind of status and talent. Not going to lie, but it would be pretty fitting if she does perform Give It 2 Me now more than ever. She's dealt with sexual assault in the past, alleged domestic violence, loss of a parent and recently a sibling, homelessness when she came to NY with financial instability, a horseback riding injury, physical injuries and still performed at the Madame X Tour before receiving surgery, experienced COVID-19, and now this. Girl is tough as hell and resilient is an understatement.

    a bacterial infection kicks you hard and can get into your blood stream quickly. Making you feverish and weak. But it can be treated and clear fast, just needing some days to rest. She has been exercising and rehearsing I'm sure she will get back in form easily. For those talking rubbish about dancers from the streets bringing disease, shame on you. Being ignorant and bigots

    I am so glad she is home. This has been the day from hell for me (and I'm sure many of us in the fan community). I love her so much and she means so much to all of us. We've been fans of this woman for decades, and this upcoming tour is a small drop in the ocean of the colossal body of work that she has given us. I am grateful for her and I wish her a speedy recovery. My thoughts are with her children as well at this time as it must have been very difficult. God Save The Queen.

    I don't know about you guys, but what has happened really changed my relation to M as a fan. I was always hungry for more ; more new music, more new videos, more performances etc... But from now on i will be happy if she's just healthy and enjoying her life. I will appreciate even more (as if it was possible !) all the incredible art and releases she gave us for 40 years and be happy just to see her post a new smiling picture of her with her children 💖

    I'm still reeling. Utterly gutted. Moments like these remind you how fragile it all is - even our impenetrable, god-like stars. And she's the last true one left. I can't even put into words what this woman means to me. Tour or no tour. Who cares. She's done it all. The best of the best. It's DONE. The rest from here on out is nothing more than icing on the cake. I can't ask for any thing more... Other than I just want her well and healthy, for her family, her babies, and us, for as long as possible. Long live the one true Queen.

    The last thing I expected when this news broke was to read selfish angry fans only worried about their shows and conspiracy posts about how they’re making this up to cover who knows what abstract concept some people may have in their heads. I thought it was basic human decency to put one’s health first but I see she’s not human for some people.

    It’s unsurprising that what has transpired most in the wake of this unfortunate news is that the general public’s response is another repulsive epic reflection of the times; most people seem able to muster a hint of empathy and compassion, but often with a dose of ageism and dismissal, as if this health crisis should encourage Madonna to pack it in once and for all. There’s also an overwhelming minority of people who are simply mentally ill as they revel in the notion that Madonna has been weakened significantly and therefore feel justified to engage in more vitriol and verbal violence. Madonna’s strength and tenacity have cemented her as a human punching bag; a symbolic sacrificial lamb for the neuroses of all those who see themselves aging and being cast aside by a capitalist society built on the exploitation of youth. While I understand that we are all hungry for news updates, let’s also be mindful that thus far these sources are just absurd articles and “news” clips filled with highly speculative tabloidism masked as “expertise” from doctors and presenters who don’t read their source material well enough to get even the basic facts straight. How can a doctor who knows nothing about Madonna’s condition make comments about the viability of her tour being canceled or significantly revised? All that said, to those who dismissed others in here for having a dramatic or selfish reaction, or for jumping to conclusions, can we also just accept that we are all human (and as human as our beloved icon) and we all love Madonna? Any reaction is okay because, as with grief, emotional shock gets processed in different ways. Guy Oseary’s statement was quite serious. The wording is open to interpretation, but in the past a Liz Rosenberg would have simply dismissed the rumors and said she had a health issue that was taken care of and that she is comfortably recovering. That is NOT what he chose to share, whether as a preemptive measure to contain the fallout of Page Six’ exploitative antics or as a way to cover up a more serious matter. At the end of the day, Guy is her manager. He has to assuage doubts and speculation as well as address and reassure the insurers, the venues, the tour staff, the fans and ticket buying public, the media, and the monstrously hateful social media set. One cannot help but speculate that this is either a very serious matter that will likely have significant professional fallout at a time when the pressure was very high on Madonna to deliver, or, as was suggested venomously by the awful Roger Friedman (and you can all send the hate my way for saying it and it isn’t my opinion…if you don’t get how devoted a Madonna fan I am by now then it really won’t matter to me if I get tarred and feathered), it is a way to garner more public sympathy for a public figure who hasn’t done much to endear herself to the masses in recent memory…and yes, at a time when she really needs those people to get onboard for a tour that is based around nostalgia. I love Madonna more than I can possibly express and want so badly for her to be in fine form as soon as possible. In complete transparency, I have just discovered that my own mother is really unwell and we all know how those of us who grew up with Madonna have a clear psychological transference of the maternal onto her, especially gay people who struggled to be accepted as children and adolescents. It’s all hitting hard and it’s a process to come to terms with the mortality of loved ones. I’m sure Madonna will be with us for a long time to come, but the reminder of the fragility of life is one we can all come around together in celebration of this extraordinary cultural and historical figure.

    From Guy O: On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.

    To me it's really simple: Madonna's health is the most important thing. Do what you have to do to get well Mama, we support you all the way. Regarding the tour... I have a ticket for the show in Stockholm, and cannot afford to go to a rescheduled date. But I can still go to Stockholm and have a good time. Visit the ABBA museum or something. When life serves me lemons, I make lemonade.

    I've had a look at bacterial infections, and they can range from food poisoning to STIs to pneumonia to e-coli. It also says that the vast majority of these infections aren't life-threatening at all - unless they get into your blood, lungs, heart or brain. So that could've been why she was rushed to ICU (providing Page Six are accurate). I had pneumonia in 2012 (at least I think I did; I saw four different doctors who told me four different things), and it took me about six months to feel truly normal again. And I was only 19 at the time! So, I can see the first American leg being postponed and the tour starting in October in London, at the very least. May M get well soon - and God Save the Queen!

    Please think before you speak. You know nothing about who her dancers are, where they come from, how strong her immune system is, and what she should or should not revise. Agreeing with someone who implies she’s hiring homeless dancers and who said derogatory things about an entire group of people who are struggling for a MYRIAD of different reasons, it’s not ok. Saying she got it from the food, she’s pushing herself too hard… just stop. If you want to express your feelings, go ahead. We don’t need endless speculation without an ounce of reasoning, or absurd bigotry.

    Guys, I feel the same. This has changed my way of being an M fan forever: now I realize that I don't need more, all her body of work is enough for me. She has literally achieve an unreachable level doing the best of the best and being on the top of the tops. I feel so ridiculous for asking her even more. The only thing that I could really ask her from now on is to be healthy and to enjoy her life in the best way possible. I want M alive and enjoying life for many, many more years!

    huge shock this morning on discovering the news I can't even describe how I felt. like many here, she's a ray of light in my life since I was a teenager. And it's way too early for that light to go out. We still need her so much. I'm sure she'll recover quickly. it is a force of nature. Don't care about the tour. Care about her !

    This isn't a discussion. I dealt with the other person already, which isn't your business. If you didn't read their statement then you shouldn't be posting "EXACTLY" as a response. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt by messaging you instead of warning you. And I started my message with "think before you speak", which is what you need to do. Which is what you admitted you didn't do. I am a moderator, I am moderating, you don't decide when I move on. This has nothing to do with my sensitivity level. It has to do with respect of people; individual or groups and littering the thread with every single possible idea that comes through your head.     It will take time guys, we have to be really mature and patient on this. We want her to rest and be ok, knowing that any minimum step in the right direction will be shared by her people: everybody here wants and has interest to control the gossip and assure about the next steps. EDITED: another important issue to take care of is the psychological aspect. ICU is a strong experience; feeling the weakness, the precariousness of the phisical body is a delicate matter to anyone; in case it's true, being found unresponsive or seeing your beloved kids looking at you worried and with veiled eyes has impact on people. Especially mature ones of course. Now, I am quite confident about her resilience and energy, but again: this can take time.

    That announcement could’ve been so much worse. Gives us all a wake up call for how hard we are on her. I wish her a complete recovery and she could tour when she gets better if that’s in a month or six months. I’m fine with it. get well Madonna.

    The Daily Fail and the New York Post are milking this out of proportions. So-called "relatives" whom probably have not seen her since 1977 being interviewed or questioning why Rocco and Lola posted unrelated things on Insta (it does not occur to them this was a decoy...it's not because Rocco posted about Transylvania on that day that he was there on that day...they've been trained since birth to cheat the media and were probably advised by her security team to do things as regular as they could). It's nice to read the support from friends and celebrities on Guy's post but the posts with pics of her to wish her well all over social medias are kind of creepy, it feels like she died. TMZ does not make a big fuss about it (even doubting Page Six), which is another sign the fail and post are doing way too much. Oseary must have been aware they were going to report about it beforehand so he posted about it. We maybe would not have known about it otherwise and have the first dates postponed "for technical reasons". She must be pissed this made it into the media.
