  1. I don't understand the point many of you share in this not being released in physical format. It makes 0 sense, increasing her presence in the streaming world doesn't mean they have to alienate her audience who is mainly interested in physical copies of her music. It actually makes sense to give these fans more to collect and also new fans the opportunity to discover her in streaming platforms too but whatever

  2. Actually the more I think about this I reckon it will be a Digital Only release. The M.O. in recent years seems to be to increase her streaming presence...and It's working. Do we really think there'd be much of a market for a physical CD of her greatest remixes? Maybe 15 years ago but she late as hell on this one, We'll see I suppose. I can see maybe a couple of super deluxe formats for fans. Forget a vinyl for 50 songs ladies. Maybe an expensive CD boxset but as for standard triple CD release of straight remixes...I think we probably have to let that one go. Has Madame X live even been released on physicals yet? As in Blu Ray and Cd? Also... for the record...The best Ray Of Light remix is Sasha Twilo Mix. The levels, the Journey, the scape. The Ultraviolet mix is essentially a loop from start to finish. Twilo wins...Hands down above and away.....and that's that on that.

  3. If she's in the studio with Mike Dean it's not going to be just the old remixes on digital as they were and that's it. They're working on something. My bet is a DJ mix with the new "Frozen" remix added or some little surprise (like the new Swae Lee collaboration), as I said in previous posts. And if they do a 75-minute project Warner can easily manufacture some CDs and sell them, and even put the vinyls on pre-order and send them when they're ready in the next few months. It's a win-win for everyone: we get something "new", media can celebrate her 50 #1s score and pave the way for the biopic, etc. I think a remixes project is a great idea, especially after the sudden success of the "Frozen" remix. Her current Spotify numbers are bigger than ever thanks to the "Frozen" remix.

  4. I think this is going to be like “Nothing has changed.” from David Bowie. A big compillation of songs among cds and vinyls, but in this case, marketed around her 50 #1s on the Dance Charts. If I'm not wrong, that started David's multiple boxsets' releases, so it could be an indicator of where things are going from here.

  5. Why not streaming and physical at the same time? ? Sometimes I can't understand Madonna's fans... It's like they are always negative or angry. ?

  8. Hard disagree to be honest. He might be a lunatic, but the Rebel Heart material he reworked was really good. Especially Wash all over me and Inside out. Imagine if Madonna had actually released Wash all over me with that tired old Avicii sound that already sounded dated in 2014. As a song, yes, Sex is terrible but Holy water is too iconic to be "bad".

  9. You seem to think that Madame X sucked because it didn't have strong, catchy choruses? That's not what makes a good album. She didn't really have many because she chose not to. It was definitely not a mainstream pop album.

  11. Another rumor, translated from Spanish: ? #LATEST Insider on Twitter who got several Katy Perry collaborations says Katy Perry has a collaboration with Madonna on the way. Remember that Katy Perry referred to Madonna in her latest video of the single "when i'm gone" and is working on unreleased collaborations, on the other hand Madonna is recording an album of hits and remixes coming out soon.

  12. I was just about to type the same thing, Warners will be relentlessly pummelling y'all for your cash for the next 5 years with the re-issues and movie spin-offs. They're not gonna blow their load on an expensive to produce 50 track remix collection!

  13. I agree and disagree with you. The profit from an individual expanded release is questionable but when you consider the increased interest in her catalog.... Wow! To many people, Madonna's work after the Music album is "shiny and new". Madonna's legacy and complete catalog will be promoted with each release. Madonna is no ordinary star. This could be an exponential expansion of her brand. People really do like her, even the fans not obsessed with her. A little nostalgic reminder of her work coul a really pay off.

  15. You should all check https://superdeluxeedition.com/ and see how thriving is the physical industry. Every other artist who had 2 hits gets their boxset, see what they did with Grace Jones over the years for example. Each new Prince re-release comes in at least 5 editions, and so on... It would make real sense that Madonna deluxe re-release rare and iconic remixes on luxuriously and expensively packaged vinyl. Because we're living in a material world.

  19. A lot of her remix edits aren’t on streaming ( not that I care about streaming ) so I think this will be a streaming only release but I would love to be proved wrong and get all these on one compilation cd with some nice artwork and liner notes from M ?

  20. madonna should have released greatest remixed hits compilations throughout her career. 10 track albums of edits of popular remixes. at this point i think this compilation should be streaming only

  29. Thats what I was trying to say but there are those who are living behind the times and dont think she would make any profit off something physical which is total bullshit. Those deluxe versions that Prince Estate has been putting out are magnificent and any Madonna fan would orgasm themselves if she did something similar for her music.

  30. They could charge much more than the minor cost of putting out this stuff physically and still make a profit. I dont really see a reason for not doing it, why does everything need to be digital? especially when vinyl is so in right now.

  32. Agree 100%, that's why, being these tracks with Fever, Rain, Why's it so hard and Secret Garden my favourite tracks from my favourite album, I still love Bedtime Stories. And listening to the early Pat Leonard demotape for Ray of Light I think that Bedtime Story also set the mood for it, the ROL early tracks were dark and suspended versions of the energetic and lighter Orbit productions. Even if not experimental and adventurous as Erotica or Ray of Light, except the title track, the album was a full round exploration of the R&B/new soul scene of the time, from the most poppy radio-oriented tracks (Take a bow did its job) to the trip hop brit sound (wich I still die for, 30 years later: Inside of Me or Sanctuary are excellent examples of that), from the lush soul ballads and funks (Love tried to welcome me, Forbidden love or Secret) to the Nellee Hooper kind of new soul emerging around those years (Survival). I always felt like Human Nature had a crush for Prince's typical sound and always loved this idea. Loved most of the lyrics, especially Love tried to welcome me, Human Nature and Bedtime Story. The videos, as everybody reported, are among her best ones, I'm especially intrigued by the cinematography and the false-raw mood of Secret and the mix of ironic, sensual, funk and provocative perfection of Human Nature. Not a big fan of the cover shoot, wich I think oversimplifies the complexity of the album. Secret, Inside of me, Human nature, Love tried to welcome, Sanctuary are milestones in her catalogue imo and I would also add that masterpiece wich is her cover of I want you, a trip hop rearrangment of Marvin Gaye's classic with "Their Majesties", the Massive Attack The only track I really can't bear is Don't Stop and, for the unreleased, I think that Freedom had a nice concept, but all the others are quite forgetable. Still in my top 5 albums

  39. A You can dance part. 2 would be welcomed. But with new mixes. Also what made You can dance a legend was also the fantastic Herb Rits pictures, the red background that made it so loved. Beside the remixes, everything that was released with this album, the promos, japanese Spotlight is extremely beautiful.

  40. Classy, sultry, lush and lavish. Her most sincere and honest work, and her most cohesive, IMO. Although it hasn't aged well and sounds a bit dated. My fave Madonna album.

  41. Like Erotica, it's aged very well and I always go to it when I want some laid-back Madonna. I love her voice on this album and as others have mentioned, the videos from this album are some of her best. My only wish is she'd carried on working with Andre Betts on this album, the work he did on Justify My Love, Erotica and Me'Shell's album the year before was great and I would have liked to have heard more from M & Dre. Not a massive fan of the album photography though, it was the first time I thought her image was a bit meh.

  43. By the way ... Now that Miramax doesn't exist any more and (Harvey Weinstein is gone too) Paramount owns the right for the "Truth or Dare" footage... I think she once said that she doesn't own the rights and Miramax demanded a lot of money for them, and that's why I can't use it in their documentary "I'm going to tell you a secret."?

  44. What have we seen on which shelves? Also tapes are pretty useless cause you can only get DVD transfers from them and a lot of detail is lost. In order to get it in HD it needs to be transferred from film.
