NY , California and Tallahassee are all the same edit of the Main mix (the spoken intro section was removed) with different elements added and removed in the instrumental. Also she says at the end You’ll never see me cry which is not present in the main mix, while in Tallahassee they remove the you F*** it up vocal at the end For the house mixes Madonnas Night On the Club is the main mix and the House mix is the edit of it while the Dub is of course the Dub.

They also don’t give people like Cher or Dolly a hard time about surgeries and fillers. I think part of that is because both Cher and Dolly submitted to the public, and they frequently joke about their own surgeries and appearances and being / growing old. Madonna refuses to talk about hers, and so they just keep bullying her trying to force her to. Even her own fans act like she doesn’t know she doesn’t really look like the filtered photos. I think Madonna is well aware of all of it, but simply doesn’t feel she needs to submit on that level. It’s part of misogyny, as men frequently are not asked to own up to cosmetic procedures the same way women are. Nobody asks Tom Cruise what he’s had done or acts like he owes it to the public to tell them all about it.

I've given them all a few spins as well. Gonna take the short 'house mix' and be on my way... fits nicely after Up Down Suite on my remix playlist. I'll hold out for the Daniel Abrahams mix showing up somewhere down the line (assuming that's the version they used for the MTV awards performance...which I digged?)... Also, this does feel complete... at last! Another full pre-2005 singles era on streaming.

IMHO Bye Bye Baby is one of the weaker tracks on Erotica, not becaue it's bad but because it's too repetitive to the point of being annoying. It's one of the Erotica tracks that needed serious trimming because their lenghts kill their vibes. As for the remixes, the hip hop ones sund so alike and the house ones don't work and sounded really behind when they were released (it's more 1991/92 than 93) but i love the Dub, it's like a mix of all the house and New Jack Sounds of the time. The best BBB version is the live Girlie Show one, suddenly a lifeless song became alive and kicked ass.

Would it have killed you to listen to Erotica 6 more times! Disappointing

Why should she give in to bullying though??? She has said on many occasions that it's her body and she will do what she pleases with it, both in interviews and on Instagram posts. I don't believe she needs to address it any more than this. Fuck that, that's just giving in to harassment. Saying I've had a facelift or a butt lift will not deter the world's tabloids. They've been at her from Day 1. Nothing will stop them.

I’d say even without editing, it’s not nearly edited as we see with other photos. She looks so good for her age. She was prepared for this event, clearly it was important to her.

Even though I rated the Fever (Radio Mix) on @Curtains' FEL Megarate very low, even I don't wish it the worst at all. There's room for the remixes to exist in this world. :D

I agree she needs to improve her image with some kind of PR boost. Hopefully she’s also able to do it with the work. Serving up quality work always does wonders for Madonna. Perhaps these new releases will re-ignite some interest. However, to regain some old fans, she’ll need some quality unreleased material on them. And her next album needs to be not just good, but amazing. ROL, LAP, COADF level.

Glad to see love for The Girlie Show a few pages back. It's one of her best and most underrated tours. The Justify My Love performance is arguably the most theatrical performance she and any other pop girl has/have ever done.

I actually love Dear Jessie. It was such an organic song on an organic album.

Jokes apart, NY / California and Florida hip hop always have had their specificities and the BBB remixes play around those. NY beat is a little harder and the remix incorporates a piano gimmick throughout reminding Wu Tang clan style, ending with a big fat old school breakbeat. The California remix is smoother, somehow closer to the album version with the synth layer and wobbly sfx, and brings the piano gimmick on the break at the end only. Hardcore version is rougher than NY with almost only beats and bass. Tallahassee is somewhere between NY and California (not geographically though 🫠) but I never heard anything "pop" in it (unless "pop" has a different meaning among producers in Florida). All those remix titles might be insiders jokes. Maybe the label was also testing some proto-geolocation of airplay by referring to designated US areas/states. It's all quite subtle and redundant. I always wondered what M's intention was on this maxi but I doubt she a lot of input as she was probably very busy with TGS rehearsals and promo. Some label guy got a kick out of it at a time when maxi singles were always filled with a lot of (almost) identical remixes made by a couple of producers with a hit or two, trying to bend and break Billboards genre charts.

Yes, absolutely. The vocal mixes always sounded a bit cheesy but the dub works perfectly as a good old 90s house track.

Streaming Bye Bye Baby now. The mixes are fun. Tge song never was promoted in the US so these mixes feel like sonething new (I know that they are not). I really enjoy Madonna remixes from Madonna: The First Album to Music the best. Remixes, industry wide, have been over produced ever since. Both the artist and intent of the song get lost in the over-production. Yeah, there are a few exceptions but in general, it is true. Bye Bye Baby remixes seem true to the original. LUV it. ❤️

Imagine if she brought Stuart back as musical director + Omar on drums and Monty on guitar, and give the gays everything they want by bringing back Donna and Nikki
