  2. They’re fakes everything is under lock for this era afaik. Same goes for any studio versions some fans with a little too much time to waste are trying to offer around.

  3. Hey everybody! This is my first topic here and hopefully I didn't post under wrong description. MDNA was the first music era I was exposed to (besides her 80's hits) from Madonna. It's a fact this is one of her worst albums but even then, there is this bittersweet story behind all the rubble. It's obvious it's a divorce album but hate that they promoted it as a "party" album. I like rearranging track lists to make some sort of story, and I did that with MDNA, whose track list I think is a mess. Here it is and I'll give description on "why it makes sense". 1. Girl Gone Wild 2. Bang Bang 3. I'm Addicted 4. Give Me All Your Luvin 5. Some Girls The first 5 tracks center around rebellion (GGW), anger (BB), euphoria (IA) , and superiority/ego(GMAYL, SG). Feelings often felt after a divorce. It's obviously trauma based and unhinged feelings and showing defiance at what had happened, tracklist continued... 6. Masterpiece 7. Love Spent 8. I Fucked Up This trio of ballads and vulnerability I actually got the idea from American Life. In this trio, she confesses intimately and reminiscence of the relationship she had, first love(M), then trouble( LS), and finally a confession and statement(IFU). She bares it all , the track list continues... 9. Superstar 10. Turn Up The Radio (with demo production plz) These "light" tracks are actually necessary after the serious part of the album, breaks up the tension. They're also escapist anthems, either in the form of a new lover (Superstar) or, in a classic Madonna move, in the form of Music (TUTR). These continue the post divorce story. Just when you thought the album ends, there is one more track and final confession... 11. Beautiful Killer She finally confesses she STILL loves her Beautiful Killer / Guy. So much so, it darkly (but oddly satisfying) ends the album, hence the gunshot at the end. A fun, dark, and beautiful ending! Let me know what you think of this tracklist rearrangement and analysis! Also, post your preffered MDNA tracklist!

  4. It's always nice to arrive in a city and be greeted by Madonna's new tour advertising, and Las Vegas was surely full of it, at least in the surroundings of The T Mobile Arena, which I suppose belongs to the MGM group, as they had her advertising everywhere. I had will call tickets for whatever strange reason, and after picking them up, I was led to a VIP entrance (by mistake), which led me to one of Madonna's security team members, who was a sweetheart and led me to the right way to the VIP table and to the Cocktail Area. There's absolutely nothing VIP there, so I rather went and spent my time on the floor, looking at people and making friends with whoever was entering the pit. I was on the left side, facing the pit. The first act up to Like a Prayer: everything is impeccable, she's gorgeous, charming, full of energy, and the production and staging are spectacular. LTT a special mention, it's very emotional to be surrounded by the power of the massive photos; our girl surely conveys emotion in this number. Madonna has grown older, but so have her fans. She looks amazing. I'm always impressed by how small she is. I've been in the front many times in the past, including Madame X, but this time she spends more time in a location not moving around the stage, so that gives you the possibility to actually be in her presence for a longer period of time, which seems so odd and magical. She has been my champion and my inspiration for 40 years, and she's there right in front of me. Second Act Erotica to Bad Girl: OMG!!! Loved everything. It's impossible to see everything as everything is happening all around you all the time. DAD, which Madonna is so good. I didn't like this act in the videos, but live is great. Obviously, "Don't Tell Me" and "Express Yourself" are great too. "Mother and Father" is a very strong number. La Isla is when I think everyone in the arena erupts into a real singalong. Now is when things get a little messy. BS, which I love, is a WTF moment, compensated by the incredible ROL, which you need to see the front of the stage to see the dancers and the whole laser display as it's spectacular because if you follow her flying around the air its impossible to capture the whole performance, and then TAB, which was understood as a closure to the show, but this whole section is one great number in the middle of two wtf moments, which arent bad but you know what i mean. MJ interlude gets people going, and BIM too, I would love for her to have a little more interaction than Thnak you Las Vegas but she has already had two big crowd interactions previously in the night. The second night I was on the other pit, which I thought was going to be less interesting, but how mistaken I was. It was a much better perspective of the show and a much better show in general. The crowd was very much into the show the second time around. In the arena, she sounded great. I'm glad I'm so tone-deaf that I truly enjoyed everything she sang and got emotional just by hearing the oldies and being in her presence. Its an amazing show, I still have to rate in my show ranking but it surely will rate high enough. MADONNA THANK YOU FOR SAVING OUR LIVES ONE SONG AT A TIME FOR THE LAST 40 YEARS I LOVE U

  5. I love at 2:20 she goes to grab the hat, but the dancer doesn’t have it on. So she grabs an imaginary hat and says ”it’s OK”

  9. I'm sorry but "Take A Bow" is a big NO for me: I can't find one single good video of this one. I still think "Rain" is the perfect option there after "ROL"'s euphoria - or even "I'll Remember" if she wants to go with a deep cut. I get she includes "Take A Bow" in the US being a massive #1 there but it doesn't work that well IMO. Beautiful song but doesn't translate well live, too slow.

  10. Potentially some of the 12" 'I'll Remember' remixes won't be available next week and one mislabeled. So just trying to get it right. At the end, if they do it there's not a lot we can change.

  15. 😂 I was asked if I heard it by Lorx and I replied, who are you? It’s not soundboard, you can clearly hear it’s fan captured by the fact the reverb is all over the place and the crowd noise is way too loud to be considered a raw, unprocessed soundboard recording. I am an audio engineer as I do it as a job and people here ask me all the time my ‘opinion’ on this type of stuff. If you don’t want to believe it, trust me - I don’t care.

  17. I think those were bertrand's rips of the 2001 CDRs, but I don't think the IR mixes were ever found on a CD. Hopefully they get their stuff together for the release or it would be a huge miss.

  18. MDNA was a bone fide era. It will always define a significant period of the Madonna journey and she definitely gave some great visuals and looks. The album is mostly above average, and I found it was a welcome shift away from the bittersweet taste Hard Candy left me with personally. I often think the fanbase’s opinion of the album was influenced by Orbit’s loose lipped Facebook purges. It invited a lot of speculation and as a result became the Madonna album she neglected in favor of directing W.E., launching gyms and promoting perfumes. I think we all sense that from 2008 for about a decade Madonna seemed a little lost stylistically, as if she wasn’t quite sure what she wanted to do, but she still put out some truly solid, sometimes masterful pop on those subsequent albums. The EDM tinges haven’t aged as well, but the more traditional pop of TUTR, GMAYL, IAS, LS and BK sounds vibrant all these years later, and I still need to dance when I hear I’m Addicted and Some Girls. Masterpiece is among her greatest ballads, and Falling Free deserves its place in the esoteric file of Madonna lyricism. Everything else is decent, if generic and somewhat soulless. I purposefully avoided getting to Gang Bang until the end of this post because I used to think it was a spitfire of a song deserving of being a single, but now find it is novel at best and I rarely think about it.

  19. Lyrically it is a fantastic album, but those Diplo beats aged like milk. I truly respect those who enjoy it, and I'm happy that there are people out there that honestly can listen to it, but I will be that person who says that it prefers the demos over the finished material. Rebel Heart, Hold Tight, Heart Break City with that amazing orchestra, Graffiti Heart with Madonna having fun and screaming on "love is pain, pain is art" part, Wash All Over Me, (Make the) Devil Pray with extra beats felt fresh, young and overall FUN. Totally the opposite of the finished material. Bitter and heavy. (Ghosttown is amazing, tho, one of her best songs in years) I absolutely can't appreciate Rebel Heart as it was released. And It's a funny contradiction, bc I always fall in love with it when I listen to the demos.

  20. Interesting interpretation/rearrangement! I actually don’t hate MDNA. It’s wildly inconsistent, there are some crap tracks and the single choices were a mess but the high points on it IMO are stronger than pretty much anything on Hard Candy, Rebel Heart or Madame X.

  25. Maybe she's not coming with Celebration Tour (DrownedMadonna would be right), but with some other concept, a different concert (then Flesch would also be right), who knows? Just like Beyoncé. If she's coming too like our insider said, it'll be with Act 2, and not Act 1. Anyway, I'm not getting my hopes high. I prefer to be realistic and wait for the words from her own mouth.

  29. Hey let’s keep it grown up - calling someone’s comment mediocre is inflammatory and childish. I’ve said this to many on here - it’s fine to not agree and you can say you don’t agree - but personal attacks won’t be tolerated.

  32. I would love a "Madonna's Version" of Rebel Heart. She could release it the way she was aiming it to be. Two sides of every story, the rebel and the heart. If I do remember it correctly, even Bitch I'm Madonna was rushed and the edit that got into the album is not the final one. Diplo released the final version on his Soundcloud. It would be a smart play to release it again, it have the potential to boost her streaming catalog and would please most of her fans, as well.

  34. The best configuration for this album is not have released it all. Even the decent tracks on it suffer from bad production, mix and mastering. All the songs were bought giving the impression this was an album she was not in the mood to record. The visuals were good though. While promoting Madame X she said she wasn't into making her previous 3 albums...and it shows. But MDNA has that putrid sound of the cheap pop from the 10's and is a testimony to the stench of that musical era.

  35. People, why are you so adamant I'll Remember maxi will be so flawed when it arrives next week??? Can we just remember not a single Keep It Together remix got copyrighted and we only knew it was coming thanks to RideOrDie? (Who will end up confirming I'll Remember maxi too as predictable...)

  36. Love how we're still referring to this as the tour DVD when the chances of it getting a physical release in any form, let alone a DVD is slim to none LMAO This will go to streaming like all concert films do nowadays.

  48. More from Paul’s book... In an excerpt from the book, which was published by The Sun, the drag queen said that he first heard of Madonna when she was working the coat check at the club Danceteria. Then, in 1984 he attended a seminar, during which the popstar spoke about her own rise to stardom. However, it wasn't until a few years later that the two first bumped into each other, when RuPaul was working as a dancer at Pyramid Club. He noted that when he walked into the room, she looked at him 'with an expression I’ll never forget.' He added that he saw a 'snarl of contempt at the sight of me, cold fury that I would deign to enter while she was in the room.' The drag queen noted that at the moment, he felt like he could read the popstar's mind, adding that she was thinking, 'How dare you take up oxygen in my world?' RuPaul said that Madonna viewed everyone as a transaction, noting that she wondered if they could 'add anything to that equation.' 'In clocking me as a eunuch, I became worthless to her,' he said, referring to the term used to describe castrated men who cannot procreate. However, the reality TV host didn't let the singer get to him because she reminded him of his mother, who was also a Leo and was 'cold to a fault.'
