  1. Madonna can't please everybody. I remember fans not liking Vogue when it was released after the more organic Like a Prayer singles (some even hated the Pettibone remix of EY). I remember people trashing COADF after American Life (this one being trashed by others) and Music, some really hated that single. Does it mean it's good or bad ? It's just opinions and people are too involved. I for one hated You'll See and that boring Evita period. I didn't think True Blue was a solid album. Do i think i'm right ? It's just my taste and its not better than the next person's. The question is, it's ok to not like something but why forcing your opinions on others ? You need the validation because you can't stand your ground on your own ? Why looking for validation in critics or social medias ? Do you like or dislike something based on your gut feelings or do you need the permission and approval of others to feel secure about your own taste ? Instead of questionning Madonna, which will avail to nothing (she does what she wants) maybe you should either question yourself or just come back when you'll actually enjoy her again...or take a break from her. Madonna evolves and so does our taste it can't always match. I quite like You'll See now. I loved MDNA when it was released, i can't even bare to look at that album now. Madonna tried so many styles and genres musically and got new fans with each that it's impossible for her now to satisfy everybody. She's not the only one. Yesterday Sufjan Stevens released a synth pop track that got his fans mad, the ones who are still expecting a Chicago #2. That's the problem with internet and forums, at the end of the day it's the same for every pop stars, disappointed fans are always louder than the ones who enjoy things.Internet is just a place to rant now. I wonder if people are still able to enjoy something anymore. Too scared to say they love something when someone who doesn't keeps telling it's trash and tries to get into people's heads to convince them it is. Times are really hard, focus on what brings you joy and pleasure and share your enthusiasm, there are really shitty things going on in the world right now, a remix is trivial compared to that. Let people get their lives from the things they enjoy and find your own without raining on people's parade. Cynism and negativity are the most shared things on internet when all we need right now is to find a way out, an escape. For some it's a remix, for others it's to rant about the meanest things and belittle people. I like this remix and im happy some people find joy in it in this shitty time. Find your own joy and happiness (hopefully not in putting others down because you're down even though misery loves company).

  7. Ok i'm kinda didived avout the fact she's not in the video... i explain, of course my first reaction was "Oh no, sh*t, she' not there" then i kept on watching the video and i loved what i saw. The video is beautiful, suits the vibe of the song perfectly, Dua is very hot. The video feels like a dream on an 80's night... and sorry to say it but that's the reality we're living it, if Madonna is not in the video then the video will get airplays on music tv channels. Some people will even like the track seeing the video and having no clue Madonna is indeed part of it while they would have turned it off if they saw Madonna with her Village people cap doing some Hip Hop mixed with Yoga moves. And Madonna is so present in the video without even being there, her voice, her spirit, and Dua is like a little girl dreaming to be Madonna in her bedroom in the middle of the 80's. She even lipsinch some of Madonna lines, this is super cute. Yes, in the end i'm happy. It's an immacualte release without any mistep.

  10. Is "Justify My Love" one of your Madonna favorites like mine? The first time I heard it, I was sold and then some. The lyrics are so hot. And the video...wow. It couldn't have been more perfect! To Justify My Love! The 'Hot' Hit Song Madonna Wrote With Lenny Kravitz Matthew Trzcinski August 14, 2020 Madonna has duetted with superstars such as Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears but some fans don’t know one of her biggest hits was co-written by rock idol Lenny Kravitz. Kravitz wrote a “hot” song he thought was suitable for Madonna. Interestingly, the song became a huge pop smash even though it isn’t really a pop song. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Kravitz recalled crafting “Justify My Love.” He felt it didn’t suit him but he liked it because it was “hot.” In addition, he felt “Justify My Love” might work for Madonna, who he’d previously met in the club scene. He called Madonna and told her he had a No. 1 hit for her. Madonna was skeptical. Kravitz insisted “Justify My Love” would be a huge success if she recorded it. The Queen of Pop said she was willing to hear it. How people reacted to the ‘very progressive’ song “So I went to the studio,” Kravitz told Rolling Stone, “popped in my cassette, blasted the track and played it again and again and she’s like, ‘Let’s do it.’ Everyone in the room was like, ‘Oh, sh*t.’ It was so different.” According to AllMusic, Madonna and Kravitz co-wrote the final version of “Justify My Love.” Interestingly, Kravitz does not provide vocals for the track. Rolling Stone reports Jean-Baptiste Mondino, the director of the “Justify My Love” video, was taken with the song, calling it “very, very progressive, very unusual. It was Lenny Kravitz who wrote it, he was singing, but he was almost talking, and he had that strange beat. You couldn’t really dance to it. It was all whispering — it sounds more like an experience. Nobody would pick up a song like this and try to make a hit out of it, don’t you think so?” How ‘Justify My Love’ performed with the public Although Mondino didn’t think someone would try to make “Justify My Love” a hit, Madonna did. Not only did Madonna release it, but she also released it as the first single from her initial greatest hits album, The Immaculate Collection. That was arguably a gamble given that “Justify My Love” is pretty avant-garde for a pop song. After that, the risk paid off, as the track became of one Madonna’s biggest hits of all time, the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. It’s interesting how Madonna’s change in musical style from her early dance-pop hits to the minimalist trip-hop of “Justify My Love” didn’t alienate the public. Although Kravitz later had hits of his own, he told Rolling Stone he considers “Justify My Love” his first No. 1 single. In addition, Kravitz cited the track as one of the songs which defined his life alongside his own hits like “Fly Away” and “American Woman.” It’s certainly one of Kravitz’s many iconic songs — even if he doesn’t sing a note on it.

  12. Sometimes I think Madonna deserves some of the stuff that happens to her. Collabs with Quavo twice (and even brings him to a horrible performance), but can't be bothered to film a green screen video for Dua (or even talk about her at all).

  18. She’s lame & lazy... she + her team... they can easily do a close up video with awesome makeup & perfect hair... & yes we have a video... & just to remind you... M did a whole video Hung Up back in 2005 with a broken arm... so I’m sure she can manage her knee. But she’s careless lately. This song would get more attention if she appeared on the video.

  19. Thats what I said in the other thread.. like wtf. Why is she promoting the crap out of these horrible and uninspired people but when a real artist actually includes her she can’t find the time. Its shameful

  20. As always a lost opportunity. Always a shitty release, mistake, weird thing. ALWAYS! What could be a good video with a lot of views is a HALF BAKED thing because Madonna was recording stupid videos with champagne rosé and talking with a dog online.

  22. The remix is amazing. Love the darker tone the Blessed Madonna gave to the original. Madonna sounded like she tapped to her COADF 2005 vocals and Missy Elliot is just riding the beat with her flow. I literally stayed up late at night to listen to the song over and over again.

  23. So it’s been on repeat. I’ve been sipping on a classy box of Jackson-Triggs Chardonnay, and yeah, I’m into it. Look the beat and club drum kick is definitely feeling a little lacklustre. But my god M is just absolute fire in it. Of course I long for those heavy dance beats. Those dance synths (Kylie save the day for Dua please) Wondering why in gods name those claps are there... everywhere. It’s a choice. But I’m digging it. Madonna is back and she didn’t even have to do much outside of her own bathroom. The beat is dark. TBM took this to a dark beat and that is her art. I respect that. We can’t knock her for that. Quick. Somebody remix that remix

  24. In your opinion. Many others fans, included myself, don't enjoy Madame X and I really don't understand how people could say it's one of her best and creative albuns with so many bad songs like Faz Gostoso, Bitch I'm loca, Funana, Ciao Bella and a remix of Back That Up To The Beat and other boring songs like Batuka and Dark Ballet.

  27. I LOVE it! Period. A remix is supposed to sound different from the original - just sayin. Too many untalented critics in my humble opinion who couldn't even cough into a mic & sound OK, but to each his own it is always necessary to remind onesself. It's time for some new Madonna & this is probably the first real "feature" I've ever been excited about. Sorry Britney, Nicki, Justin, Quavo, Swae Lee & others I just forgot. Totally new respect for Dua Lipa also! This remix album is going to be A You Can Dance for 2020!!!!!

  28. I am so relieved that the remix sounds nothing like the original version ! And thank god those tacky and cheesy "yeah yeah yeah yeah" with kids choir are out too ! This remix is one of the best thing released by a mainstream artist in years. Finally something with a strong beat, a real bassline, something that makes you wanna jump out of your seat and dance. As i said before this is the best thing Madonna has released since Confessions. The beat, the bassline, the sirens, Madonna's vocals, Missy's verse... everything is absolutely amazing. Million times better than the original version.

  31. But Madonna doesn't have the time guys. She is busy in her bathroom or discussing a movie that will probably fail (once again) or making stupid instagram posts.

  32. The song was very badly received and not because Madonna, Dua or Missy. It's the damn instrumental that goes nowhere and drains the song of all energy. It's inevitable not to compare it to the original. I think Stuart Prince himself could have made a much better remix.

  35. Love it! A full on dance song, it's fun, it's not trying too hard, Madonna's vocal are great and she dominates the track! I'm low key disappointed that Madonna hasn't said anything on instagram about it when we had to deal with Champagne Rose hashtags for a minute. Also, not getting what people were expecting from a REMIX on an album called CLUB Future Nostalgia with a DJ collaborating. It was clear this wasn't going to be the original track with new verses added.

  36. omg I luv it. So funky, so clubby, I was worried it would be just club beats and not very commercial but this has hit potential all over it.. I really think we have a chance of madonna having a top 10 hit. Bless you Dua. I hear madonna all over it. Her voice sounds amazing. I can even hear her singing with Dua on parts wher they have put the vocals together. Its a win win win for me. All my friends who arent huge music fans but just luv something that comes on are luving it

  38. I really hope M will post something on her insta account about the track and not only on her story cause it will be gone in a few hours. She should start showing a little bit more interest... it's the best thing she has put her voice on since Confessions. If she doesn't realise this and think tracks like "Champagne rosé" are better than it's really worrying... it's the first time in years a new track with her on it is being played on french radios... wake up Madonna !

  39. It’s a shame she’s not in the video, you know why? Cos M is so lame & lazy... I see Missy doing her part perfectly. ???

  40. This video was filmed probably last winter. And re-edit again now with the Missy parts ( Madonna's as we know) it never happened. If Madonna did'nt have at hand a strong production team that made her look as her brand, she won't do it. We are going through a pandemic that is limiting so much of this type of events.

  41. I love this Moroder production and in this direction COADF would certainly have been very interesting. But in my opinion you can tell from the album how much joy she had with Price to listen to old records and how they lived together for a short time and merged into a musical dream couple. Unfortunately Moroder was too old for such a musical synergy. His productions after that are good, but there is simply missing that incredible spark that came to COADF.

  42. Yep, some TV cameo or even some posters with her in the room, ANYTHING. I can't believe she's not there in any way or form, but Missy is. It's weird.

  43. "Celebration" went gold or platinum pretty much all over the world. Kylie's recent greatest hits compilation released last summer has already been certified gold in UK, despite being her - oh I don't know - 12th "best of" package? These sets clearly sell. The problem with all of the existing Madonna compilations is that none of them is truly comprehensive. Even The Immaculate Collection wasn't - it takes some balls and a truly extraordinary catalogue of songs to be able to not only release a greatest hits set 8 years into one's career but do so omitting several Top 5 hits as well as a couple of #1s. She's now had 63 Top 10 singles in UK and 38 in US and there isn't a single unified release that would honour that. There are so many great songs that were big hits but have been forgotten over time and that deserve being re-introduced to a broader audience (for example Angel, Causing a Commotion, This Used to Be..., I'll Remember). With all this talk among Madonna's fans about her not respecting her legacy, I find it strange there would be so much opposition to a new greatest hits package. Of course we, the fans, can compile whatever the hell we want and with whichever edit/remix we like. We're are also the ones who will most likely buy any of her re-released/re-mastered albums. A comprehensive "best of" compilation would be a great way to bring general public's attention back to Madonna's music and re-introduce her amazing catalogue.

  44. Ciao Bella and Funana slander...we've really hit a low point, huh? I really like this remix. M's vocals sound wonderful and it reminds me a lot of the remixes from her 90s singles.

  45. Wow... heartbreaking how fans made such an elaborate work and what? Color vinyls? But somehow the “official” releases are like the cheapest things in creativity and production value you could ever find. Speaking of streaming and physical releases, I really think tours shouldn’t take more than 6 months to be released after the show ends. Her taking almost two years to release Rebel Heart Tour and 9 months for MDNA tour was just way too much, especially judging by how poor the releases are anyway.
