  1. I cant take it anymore. I cant take more twins dancing, more twins doing sport, more david working out, more david playing soccer. I just unfollowed her and I‘m shocked about it.

  3. I adore it. So I will just say again what I said about it in an old topic "MDNA" was a good fun pop album - with a dark side exploring all the pain of her divorce. I enjoyed it a lot at the time. It came a little late with the whole EDM/Dance pop cycle almost ending (Rihanna's "Loud", Gaga, Britney's "Femme Fatale", all the super popular DJs) but it was 100% current when it was released. There are some really good songs there. Artwork was excellent. Promotion could have been better. And single releases probably, too but "GGW" and "TUTR" are both bangers. I know a lot of fans dislike the album but I always think that if "MDNA" had been a huge success the perception would be different. The original tracklist worked better, IMO: 01. Girls Gone Wild 02. Gang Bang 03. I'm Addicted 04. Some Girls 05. I Don't Give A 06. Turn Up The Radio 07. Give Me All Your Luvin' 08. B-day Song 09. Superstar 10. I'm A Sinner 11. Masterpiece 12. Falling Free 13. Love Spent 14. I Fucked Up 15. Beautiful Killer Then "Best Friend" was added at last minute and tracklist changed. And "Girls Gone Wild" became "Girl Gone Wild". And don't get me started on THAT tour Amazing.

  5. "Bedtime Story" was never gonna work as a single in the US. It was just too Björk and very different to mainstream US hits at the time (alternative rock or R&B pop). Björk was critically acclaimed in the US with the "Debut" album (1993), but she wasn't a big seller there (the album got to #61 on the Billboard 200 and its biggest single, "Big Time Sensuality", to #88). She was in the UK and Europe, yes. Releasing "Bedtime Story" as a single in the US was a big and brave artistic move. Who follows her biggest hit in years with THAT song and THAT video? It was kinda "OK, you've had your fucking Babyface #1 safe ballad hit from me, now let me do my thing". I think it was a very bold move - and another reason to love and appreciate her.

  6. I’m definitely a fan who likes the more serious stuff especially since those are usually my favorite albums of hers (MX, AL, Erotica) but I still enjoy the silly songs. It’s not the fact that MDNA is silly it just is really bad songs especially for an artist as amazing as Madonna. Hard Candy is in majority a silly album but it’s still a decent album. MDNA is not. It’s her weakest album ever and I don’t think it’s even debatable

  13. I don't think this is an unpopular opinion but for me it is her worst record. That said, there are definitely some tracks I really enjoy on the album. I do enjoy revisiting it one in a while and enjoying some tracks on it. For example, Girl Gone Wild and I'm Addicted are some fun electro pop songs and very fun to dance to. Gang Bang and Some Girls aren't bad, I actually like coming back to them even though they're not the strongest on the album. Other than that, I do really enjoy Masterpiece, Falling Free and Beautiful Killer. The biggest disappoints for me were Give Me All Your Luvin', Superstar, B-Day Song and Turn Up the Radio. I did listen to them at the time, but I never listen to those songs anymore.

  14. There are some great songs on this album but some truly bad ones by her standards. I think it’s obvious it was rushed and was not a good way to start her new contract. The lead single was especially bad.

  16. I love MDNA! I think it’s under appreciated much like American Life. I love almost every song but hey, speaking of under appreciated (from her team atleast), Beautiful Killer should have been a single! Also, Madonna’s voice on Masterpiece couldn’t have been at its finest. It’s one of her most stunning ballads in my opinion.

  18. I went to Sticky & Sweet, MDNA and Rebel Heart: I loved S&S, potentially because I was very into the HC album. But the older hits were done really well too. The energy was great. MDNA was a disappointment. Too much music from the new album, which I didn't love. I get that the show was supposed to be dark overall but even feel-good songs like Turn Up the Radio and Hung Up lost their sense of fun. Like a Virgin felt like it was 20 minutes. I loved, loved, loved Rebel Heart. Perfect mix of old and new, great flow, etc. Brilliant show and probably my favorite. Can't wait to see the Madame X footage. I really liked most of the album so the set list intrigues me.

So many unreleased songs from Rebel Heart would have been great Bsides. Putting Tragic Girl on Living for love, Nothing lasts forever on Ghosttown and Two steps behind me in Bitch I'm Madonna would have encouraged the fans to buy the single EPs

I think that instead of adding extra tracks for the Deluxe version etc, making albums that last forever. She could make those tracks as B-sides to the singles of the album.

  22. Sire Records, Warner or Madonna herself preferred to do other things with the outtakes instead of putting them as mere B-sides of singles. We have 9 real B-sides: 1985 - Madonna - Ain't No Big Deal 1989 - Madonna - Supernatural 1993 - Madonna - Up Down Suite 1994 - Madonna - Let Down Your Guard 1998 - Madonna - Has to Be 2000 - Madonna - Cyber-Raga 2006 - Madonna - History Then, we have 7 exclusive bonus tracks from special/limited editions: 1987 - Madonna - Spotlight 2005 - Madonna - Fighting Spirit 2005 - Madonna - Super Pop 2008 - Madonna - Ring My Bell 2009 - Madonna - It's So Cool 2012 - Madonna - Broken 2015 - Madonna - Auto-Tune Baby Then, we have 4 collaborations by Madonna herself: 1987 - Madonna - Santa Baby 1994 - Madonna - Goodbye to Innocence 1997 - Madonna - Freedom 2007 - Madonna - Hey You And finally, there are 8 outtakes written by Madonna given to other artists: 1987 - Nick Kamen - Each Time You Break My Heart 1988 - Marilyn Martin - Possessive Love 1991 - Nick Scotti - Get Over 1993 - Donna DeLory - Just a Dream 1997 - Gary Barlow - Love Won't Wait 2004 - Laura Pausini - Me abandono a ti 2006 - Tilt - Come Closer 2007 - Kylie Minogue - Alone Again If they didn't use any of the unreleased songs that we know today, it is because they were leaked before they could rethink producing them again or because they didn't think that the tracks had enough quality to be even a B-side. As examples, we have Your Honesty, a 1993/94 never-known outtake released in 2004 (Remixed & Revisited), and Back Up That to the Beat, a 2014 leaked track released with a new production in 2019.

I always got the impression that if she didn’t feel it was good enough to be on her album, it wasn’t really good enough to be released. She worked on songs for a specific album or individual songs for soundtracks so they all had a purpose. She wasn’t prolific like Prince who had so many songs lying around he could put a B side in all of his 80s singles, many as good as if not better than the A side. I think with M a few outtakes slipped through to pad out singles or for charity albums. I remember her saying “Liquid Love” gave her “the wrong tingles” even though I think it’s a great song, so she must just go by her gut instinct on what to put out.

  25. Rhino/Warner/her team are getting better with each of these releases. Marking them as new 2021 releases, they have the option to send a track to Spotify editors so it can be included on Release Radar for Madonna's fans on Spotify. This week they sent the Junior's Single Mix of "Bedtime Story" and that's why it got 100k streams in a day.

If editing a 2 hours show takes 2 years wecan get an idea on how long it will take her to edit a 38 years career span... On a positive note if some people were afraid her biopic couldn't be release in theatres, that's ok, by the time of the biopic release the covid pandemic will be studied in historic book by students who are not even born yet as i'm writing it, and theaters on planet Mars will premiere the movie.

  27. I have been a huge Mega fan of Madonna’s since 1982 when her very 1st single “Everybody” came out & I’ve been to 10 of her 11 Tours I only missed her 1st Tour The Virgin Tour 1985 other than that I’ve been to every Tour since (WTG 1987, BAM 1990, TGS 1993, DWT 2001, RIT 2004, Confessions 2006, S&S 2008, MDNA 2012, RHT 2015, MXT 2019) & after seeing every Tour I can say with 100% Confidence the The Madame X Tour is her worst Tour to date. 1st I saw it in Brooklyn NY on 9-24-19 & she was over 2 hrs late & ppl were leaving b4 it started & were angry, @ my tour there were no Tour books available because they said there was a delay so I ended up buying it on her website a few months later & all The prices on the merchandise was outrageous, The setlist was awful. The Opening to the show for “God Control” was a really long opening & “Express Yourself” she only sang portions of the song a capella & Papa Don’t Preach She only performed 1 1/2 vers of the song & when she auctioned off the selfie that she. Doesn’t even take with the highest bidder & she takes with the polaroid camera she was mean to ppl bidding on it. This 1 guy offered her $500 & she made a nasty & snarky comment even though he paid hundreds of $$ to be there & a woman offered her $1,500 & she took it but she said all the $$ was going to a charity so here’s my thing if it’s for a charity why didn’t she take the guys $500 & The woman’s $1,500 & give them both a selfie & have $2,000 for her charity. Also she interacted very little with the audience & when she did she just made fun of ppl for example 1 guy had this beautiful shirt of Madonna made & she saw it & said “What to cheap to buy my shirts, That shirt is ugly” I’m sure he was embarrassed any1 would be & she asked another guy what he did for a living & he said he worked for T-Mobile & she said “Oh so you’re apart of the ppl killing ppl because cell phones kill ppl” yet another person embarrassed I’m sure & you’re going to tell me she doesn’t have several different cell phones? In all 10 Tours I’ve seen she was never this cruel or nasty to the fans & without us she wouldn’t be who she is. I think she forgets that. Also the show just didn’t have that same WOW Factor. Were there amazing moments, Absolutely like When she sang “Human Nature”, “Vogue”, “American Life”, “Frozen”, “Like A Prayer” “Medellin” “Come Alive”. I was just really disappointed by the Madame X Tour & her extremely poor & shitty attitude towards us the fans, The Audience & how much she actually didn’t interact with us even though that was the point of this tour was to be small & intimate & I was so turned off by how late she was & she didn’t care @ all.

  28. Let's be real, she could have cared less. Her mind was on her other projects, endorsements and on the Superbowl. The album is weak and falls short of her standards, feels like autopilot Madonna recording other singers' demos and slapping her name on them. The mixing, the bad vocals, the rushed time frame to meet the Superbowl and then no promotion until the tour felt like the worst way to bring about a new chapter on a new label. It pretty much ended her on the charts and despite the payola for GMAYL, it extended her record but I feel the non-traditional promo backfired on her. The album itself has good ideas and it is definitely a divorce record. You can see a lot of the songs become more evolved on tour and makes even the most simple songs seem bigger than they were on the record. I can appreciate her stab at the current music scene at the time. Gang Bang being one most loved due to how bonkers it was but leading with a song that most derided on its leaked demo form, GGW was better and TUTR felt like Hello 2.0. As Orbit mentioned, her mind and time was elsewhere besides the album and devoting the time to making this record feel finished. She had M.I.A. of all people and passed on a possible political or social song versus GMAYL and B-Day Song and some of the standouts are muffled through poor mixing and mastering that robs them of their brilliance they deserve. She did excel at the tour and the visuals of both the album/tour/promotional run but the album itself feels like a contracted album with a "let's record whatever to go on tour". They're fun, faceless and guilty pleasure tracks mixed with some great ones like Love Spent, Masterpiece, I'm Addicted but the cons outweigh the positives. I enjoyed it when it was released but it hasn't aged quite well and you feel like her interest in recording definitely came back during Rebel Heart and especially Madame X. This was sorely missing during the MDNA session.

  31. I think MDNA (album and tour) served her best visuals since Confessions but there's too much filler and dodgy lyrics on the album for it to be considered a classic. The production already sounds quite dated and the remixes are unlistenable to me. Like Hard Candy, it's not a bad album, it's just a bad Madonna album. Rebel Heart works better for me as it's not just one genre, it's more general and less focused on one type of music.

  34. Even though I love Bedtime Story and it’s video I think it’s pretty obvious that releasing that song as a single was confusing from a marketing perspective. Everything else surrounding the album was an rnb flavour. It was a strange choice to follow Take a Bow and it’s no shock it got no attention. I assume she/they probably hoped it would ride on the wave of the success of Take a Bow. I can imagine it’s biggest draw card was the video though. It may have made more sense to release it internationally only. Forbidden Love or Dont Stop would have been top 10 for certain. We can only assume Warner made a compromise with her because I can’t imagine they wanted to release that song.

  36. I tried to get the scoop from Mark Picotti himself but he’s been very tight lipped about it. He only said all the dance mixes for LDHA were scrapped because she didn’t want to do anything clubby because of Evita coming up. But that doesn’t add up since as soon as Evita was released the DCFMA mixes came out. Whatever the case, it’s a shame they didn’t get released. They’re some of the best Madonna remixes in my opinion.

  38. I'm going to go on a limb and say it was her. I only say that because back when LDLHA remixes were released, WB used to maintain an area of their site dedicated to what singles where charting on any/every possible chart variation. I remember it was when a few songs from the Twister soundtrack were charting and they often would write these really great blurbs about how HOT the LDHLA mixes were and how they were doing on the dance charts and would they get a commercial release? It just seemed like they were BEHIND BEHIND the mixes. Now that could be said about anything/anyone they had money invested in, absolutely - but WB was definitely involved in a positive way, it seemed to me. Click this for fun, omg: https://web.archive.org/web/19961224005657/http://www.wbr.com/madonna/str009.htm Here's a type of page they maintained, this one mentioning the remixes for DCFMA: https://web.archive.org/web/19961222170944/http://www.wbr.com/radio/hotac.htm https://web.archive.org/web/19961019140028/http://www.wbr.com/radio/t40cross.htm I remember these like they were YESTERDAY, I refreshed them DAILY.

Agreed. I think there is a severe quality dip between her released album tracks and outtakes. I don’t know whether it’s because she stops working on them when she decides they aren’t fit for the album. But even “extra” songs on albums have a quality dip: All the extra tracks on Rebel Heart super deluxe even sound different. The mastering or something makes her voice sound completely different than on the main record. I don’t think any of the b sides or extra songs hold a light to any of the actual album songs she puts out

I think we're confounding issues here. Editing the tour has not taken two years because she hasn't spent two years on it. She's been doing other things in the meantime. The problem is her need for control and not outsourcing the editing to professionals and then her input being some pointers here and there rather than being so hands-on. I think unfortunately because she's now a director as well she 'enjoys' having a hands-on approach in the editing to everyone's detriment.

  47. When you buy music, you own it (for your own use only, of course); when you stream, you don't own the music, you just get access to it as long as your subscription is active - and as long as the music is available on the platform. You can locally download the file to listen to it withouth Internet, but you can't take the file out of the app. It's not "yours". Two completely different ways of enjoying music - and both valid for different kind of listerners

It was my 1st Madonna Tour & I’ve been to every Tour since, I’ve been to 1 of her 11 tours & she had the huge projection screen around the entire stage & she had many different costume changes yes they weren’t as elaborate as the other tours but she did have costume changes & the setlist was amazing.

  49. Not sure I'm liking this, but, I love her hair, nails, and makeup. What do you think? Holy 2000s! Madonna's Daughter Stars in Juicy Couture's New Underwear Campaign Holy 2000s! Juicy Couture is going back to its roots with an underwear collaboration with affordable underwear brand Parade. Of course, it wouldn't be a true Juicy collab if there weren't any Swarovski crystals involved or the brand's iconic logo visible on the pieces. The supersoft, sustainable underwear features "Juicy" written across the backside of the briefs as well as on the logo waistbands. The collection even comes with a Juicy version of Parade's Instagrammable hair scarf that has "Live Free, Wear Juicy" spray-painted on it. One surprise guest? Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon, who stars in the campaign images. In a press release, the two brands gave a little background about why they decided to team up in the most Juicy way ever — in the form of a story: "Once upon a time Parade and Juicy Couture set out to create the ultimate collection for nice girls that like stuff. We were inspired by the revolutionary years of the early 2000s when tracksuits were softer, rises were lower, and there was bling on everything. Together, we designed a collection to celebrate the timelessness of brilliant and daring self-expression. A match made in heaven with thousands of sparkling crystals, glamorous jewel-tone shades, and a little bit of velour, Parade & Juicy Couture lived happily ever after." You can buy the limited-edition pieces in various types of set boxes, which have fun names like "Dude, Where's My Couture?" and come with a scarf and a little velour pouch inspired by Juicy's infamous tracksuits. Keep reading to get a closer look at the campaign images and shop the affordable pieces.
