    The vocals of the 1984 and 1995 versions are the same, the STR Remix (and its other mixes from '96) were mixed in off the original multitrack sessions, starting from its Dry lead vocal. The 'difference' you hear could be the lack of delay and reverb in comparison to its original 'Like a Virgin' version, but vocally they are the same take.

    How can the world listen to "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" and not give it a Grammy (cover wins Grammy?). Madonna sings like any of the so-called "vocalists", as if she had walked into the studio and told the producer "I'm ready, hit it on." Madonna is an excellent vocalist in the studio, she gives it her all. Well, she takes this cover, transforms the rhythm, beats, and even in the colecnea version she remakes the vocals, now powerful due to the vocal study in Evita, puts an orchestra and strong drums and transforms them into an unusual, avant-garde and original ballad. Love Don't Live Here is one of Madonna's best songs to sing, even though it's not hers.

    It's gotta be a reference to IDSIF though. In some capacity, whatever is happening at the VMAs will involve that song, I'll bet. Do keep in mind that she used it as one of only a few songs at Pride. She clearly believes it's a highlight -- if not *the* highlight -- from Madame X. Honestly, why would she record a random video without a performance? She's going to be there. Otherwise, they could just air the trailer during the show and call it a day. This seems like a lot of effort for very little return if it isn't part of something bigger next Sunday. If it really ends up being a performance of IDSIF, I'll die. Hopefully with a bit better choreography this time around now that she can move properly again. Wouldn't be surprised if she did a Vogue / IDSIF mash up similar to the Madame X performances. Remember, she has this new deal with Warner and she's doing the Biopic. She's clearly looking to relaunch her career in some capacity. She has to know how much of an impact a good performance could have nowadays.

    I completely disagree. As much as I love Rose and her original rendition, I think Madonna did a spectacular job. Especially at that stage of her career. While Rose’s version is more nostalgic, Madonna delivered a wide range of raw emotion and even some anger. Which gave the song a brand new spin. I think vocal training can sometimes ruin songs, especially when it comes to Madonna. For example, her very correct rendition of Don’t Cry For Me Argentina is so bland compared to Patti LuPone or Sinead O’Connor. The vocals in the Miami Mix are way more powerful…

    Who do you think put the music together for the movie? I thought it was brilliant the way they used elements from Words, Your Honesty, Hanky Panky and the Material Girl Remix in the film to create certain moods. Something I thought may carry over into future video projects, but never happened. Anyone have any idea or info?

    I’m sure it will. There is no obvious order or strategy. Just Cos they miss something now it doesn’t mean they will never get to it. It seems to me they are responding to feedback and trying to do a better job than they were initially. Personally I’d rather they take their time and do things properly rather than rush something out because it’s an anniversary date.
