  10. Hello everyone! EDIT: Please follow me on Instagram for updates @bitchshesmadonna_ As part of my YouTube channel, to celebrate the finale of the tour being broadcast live I will be doing a special fan voted awards "ceremony" for The Celebration Tour. Categories will include things like best tour costume, best hairstyle, best song arrangement, best ballroom judge, favourite dancer etc. There will also be a countdown of the best performance from the tour as voted by the fans. I would love if you could all click on the two links and vote in each category! (I promise it should only take you a few minutes.) I will share the results on YouTube a few hours before the show in Brazil premieres http://www.polljunkie.com/poll/eixikp/rate-x27the-celebration-tourx27-performances http://www.polljunkie.com/poll/xnerxx/the-celebration-tour

  15. This week our hosts Brittany Spanos and Rob Sheffield look at an Eighties dance-floor classic, from one of the all-time biggest pop legends: Madonna’s “Into The Groove.” It wasn’t Madonna’s first single (that was “Everybody”) or her first hit (that would be “Holiday”), but “Into The Groove” is the one that instantly evokes Madonna in her raw, gritty early days. It’s a cheap, fast, in-your-face disco anthem that hits as hard as punk rock, from the hungry young Madonna, aiming to sum up the whole history of dance music in one song. “Into The Groove” is still the song at the heart of her lifelong bond with the club scene and the dance community. It’s the one that where she sings right into your ear: “You can dance, for inspiration.” For this episode Brittany and Rob are joined by one of the most brilliant music writers around, Suzy Exposito, a longtime journalist for Rolling Stone and the L.A. Times. They break down the song’s impact on club culture, including the goth world (the dancing boy in the music video became an iconic goth figure in himself!). They’ll also seek to answer the questions of why we’re all so obsessed with this song? Why does it loom so large over Madonna’s other hits? Why is it the gateway drug that hooks so many generations of Madonna fans? Take a listen to find out! [Hidden Content]

  20. Can't believe we're only one month away from the Rio concert. Can't believe I will finally see the Queen live for the very first time, after 16 years waiting for this moment. The 11 yo me always dreamed of seeing her live, but NEVER thought that the first time would be such in a huge and important concert. Just the thought of this makes me shed in tears. Can't believe we'll finally have a decent register of a concert, after years of bad editing choices.

  21. She hated to work with him, but one of her best 80's photoshoots was photographed by him (Rolling Stone 1986) and he also directed one of her best and beautiful videos (The Power of Goodbye). I wish she hates Ricardo with the same passion one day, the most mediocre 'photographer' and 'director' she worked with in her 40-year career.

  22. hey guys! here I am again with some concepts of how the stage could be built in Rio: it's the only thing I can think about honestly I've did some research on how the Rolling Stones concert was built and how the New Year's Eve stage is set up every year. hope you like it!

  33. Sometimes I wonder how dramatic people would get if we had social media back in 1990 and people recording every show from every angle. "OMG SHE'S OVER SHE LOST HER VOICE AGAIN" "THIS TOUR IS A MESS, EVERY SHOW HAS A DIFFERENT TECH ISSUE" "SHE WAS RUDE TO A FAN" "WTF DID SHE DO WITH HER HAIR, EUROPE'S GOING TO BE A FLOP WITHOUT THE PONYTAIL" "WHERE'S BORDERLINE AND LUCKY STAR, THE SETLIST IS TERRIBLE"

  35. Last night was amazing. The Tampa crowd was really into it from the start. Looked to me like the entire crowd were standing up until Bad Girl, then some people started settling into their seats, but not me I stood the whole show. The best performance from where I was sitting to me was ROL. My seat was three rows off the floor just left of center stage. The sound was really good from there and I could hear all of the talking clearly through out the show. Was not her best night vocally but It was still amazing. I will never forget this night. My eyes watering just thinking about it.

  36. guys, I've finally managed to get a word from Globo about international broadcast and it's not the news we wanted to hear: " 'The Celebration Tour' event will be broadcast on TV Globo, however, it is not available for the international market due to exhibition rights." so... get your VPNs ready!

  37. After long eight years finally I made it to see The Queen again. I was so emotional that I started to yell and cry at the same time on NRM. WHAT A SHOW!!!! I wanted to be on the A1 section but I couldn't get tickets in any date, it was so hard, but now I'm grateful, everything was on point. I love her so much.

  38. it's the second comment I read regarding how unsafe and wild and sexual Brazil is. guys, go read a book. yes, Brazil has crime. yes, Brazil is known for its wild Carnival. but so does the US, and Folsom Street Fair. the producers and the government have already stated MULTILPLE times that they will deploy extra police officers to the event and there will be facial recognition throughout the beach. by NO MEANS, Brazil is the most violent country in the world. Brazilians live happy lives and are very optimistic, despite dealing with centuries of slavery and exploitation from europeans countries, so please, think long and hard before saying things that are very untrue. sorry for the lenghty post guys, but these types of uneducated comments make my blood boil.

  39. "American Pie" had been a massive UK #1 and one of the monster hits of that year in Europe, so putting it in was an extremely smart commercial decision that helped the album selling more than 11 million copies worldwide. I'm very surprised she was so against that, she's always been smart with business - except for the reason she didn't want to share a cut of the album sales royalties with Don McLean for a song she didn't wrote. Also, it's not like sonically "American Pie" it's miles away from the rest of the album, especially the Orbit tracks. It's literally the same vein. When "Music", the album, was released, it already included two monster smashes: "American Pie" and "Music". Add "Don't Tell Me" weeks later and you have one of the biggest album sellers that Fall. Hit singles sold albums back then. Honestly, "American Pie" should have been even on "GHV2" too, but let's not go there.

  43. Finally saw the show! Mixed feelings - loved a lot of the show itself minus the Erotica/JML section (it kind of dragged for me) and the A/C rant which should've been dealt with offstage. She made at least 3 or 4 comments about it. I understand the frustration but it's awkward to see her rant with a half-muted mic about it on stage... Still, loved Ray of Light, Live to Tell, Nothing Really Matters, Take a Bow and Like a Prayer. Favorite part about LAP is a whole family walked out screaming "Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ!" because they thought the intro was satanic. They never came back.

  45. So the tour video Director Sasha Kasiuha has been professionally filming the shows & teased clips on Insta, but since the show in Rio is being broadcast, makes me wonder if we’re getting more than one official release? Will the Broadcast be a 'one off' TV special and we also get the official release that Sasha filmed? Is mamadonna feeding us two pro shot shows?!? If so I think this hasnt happened since we got the WTG japan show officially broadcast and then got the ciao italia show on home video. Hmmmmm makes you wonder...

  46. I think A LOT of people, including fans, were really questioning her stamina going on tour so soon after her medical emergency. And look at her now, zero cancelled shows, a bonus free show for Brazilian fans... the bitch is now unstoppable. I would imagine she's exhausted but a part of me feels like... this is just the beginning. She's absolutely proven her worth. People can pick apart shit but facts are facts, she's still got it. There's no way she's stopping now. This tour is probably the BEST thing that could happen to her right now. I'm so excited for what's next!

  48. I was at both Dallas shows, so here are some small things I noticed: Night 1: -She started about 15/20 min later than she has been these past few weeks and I didn't really think anything of it until... -During the Burning Up speech she said she was in a mood, but I think she played it off really well and even told the crowd she was feeling a lot better during the Express Yourself speech. -During Celebration, she was saying her thank-you's and she made a very vague apology to Bob, like "Thank you Bob, and I'm sorry for that thing that happened". I wonder if something happened before the show between the two that put her in a funk? IDK, pure speculation. -The show was PHENOMENAL! I was at the 3rd row after the end of the catwalk so I saw her up close during Hung Up, Don't Tell Me & Express Yourself. Seeing her so close almost... humanizes her in a way? Not sure of the right term, but I just kept thinking "Wow, she's 20 feet away from me. And she's just a normal person". You get so used to seeing her in wide stadium shots on DVD and on TV performances and think she is this untouchable entity, but when you're that close she just feels so normal. Like performing is just her job, she just happens to be incredibly good at it. I'm still on a high from seeing her, so this probably doesn't make much sense. Night 2: -I was in the 2nd row of the highest section, so I got a more birds-eye-view of the show. Both floor and upper levels have their strengths and weaknesses. -She was in a GREAT mood all night, and I felt was a lot more chatty with the audience. -Her voice was a little more hoarse than normal so it cracked a few times. Nobody seemed to care. -During both shows, she really stressed her love of being a mother. I think she said night 1 was David's birthday so I think she was in a reflective mood. -Some of the things you think might not really work, surprisingly do when you see it live. I never hated the ending, but thought it could be improved. However, the audience went crazy with all of the reincarnations, so I think it kind of distracts from some of the weaker points of the encore. OVERALL, 10/10 concert. Super looking forward to any streaming/video release so I can re-watch in pro quality.
