I'm sorry. I have to say this.... @Clark_Kentis going through something very personal and sad right now and he's very busy. I know personally what he's going through and it's awful. So Please please have heart and give him a break for what we might not know and without question and just be thankful someone is able to give us a few fun details especially living in such hard and worryingly times currently. It's so appreciated.10 points -

What surprises me the most is that I'm not leaking any ground breaking information about M, like a new proyect, a new album, a new movie, or a new something. I'm just talking about the post production phase of a release we all now it's happening, a film we all now it's comming, just giving details of how the video is edited. No big deal, no surprise, not spoiling everything, just glimps of information of what I saw to letting you know that something good is finally comming and to calm the anxiety. So keep getting this kind of attitude and negativity is very frustrating.6 points -

Funny you. After I especified I won't be talking about the film anymore, you sent me a message playing nice trying to get more info from me, saying you were antsy, that you believe me 100%, asking me to reply your questions (altought many of them were already answered, and including one very rude question about M's ass), swearing privacy and that you won't leak anything, and finally calling me "boo". Suddenly when I didn't replied to you in the time you expected, like if replying to your messages had to be my number one priority, turns out i'm lying, everything is fake, and now you play the "i don't care about this anyway" card. It seems you really cared about it, since you had to pretend you were nice to get what you wanted. Keep enjoying your covid news.5 points -

Because these types complaining about this shit are caught up in their own moral righteousness. Basically no different from the social conservatism of the right (that condemned this book in its own time), but now it just comes from the other end of the sociopolitical spectrum. Like turning a certain extreme end of 'social activism/progressivism' into something akin to religious fundamentalism. They cannot see nor infer any sense of nuance, nor do they even care to understand things in their proper context. Basically, they're all hypocrites. In the film and book, Oliver is 24.5 points -

There's some context to the passage but that's how fiction gets you. It's the same sentiment when you read "IT" and you get to the chapter when the losers club all gangbang bev for a metaphorical orgy, and these are all underage kids in a group orgy written by a grown man. The passage in these books are not to arouse the reader though to Madonna's Sex book the idea is there but in no way does she go in full detail like lady chaterly lovers or 50 shades. Madonna has a specific taste in guys based on her list of lovers mostly all toned and smooth with the exception of Guy Ritchie who was hairy, and lot of people share the same taste as hers, though that doesn't fully mean that you're a potential pedophile for liking similar traits of an underage person (this is the kind of misinformation cancel culture gets fueled with). People need to be equipped with better judgement when reading such literature (yes I called her sex book literature) lol.4 points -

Question about a "Hung up" snippet (with male backing vocals)
Redha DBL and one other reacted to deathproof for a topic
Exactly what @TonyMontanasaid. The Motorola commercial used a version without the Abba sample. We refer to these backing vocals as "male" vocals because they are edited to sound like a man's voice. You can hear it throughout the album on tracks like Forbidden Love and Sorry. Infact, download the Hung Up stems. Listen to the file Vocoder.wav. You can hear these vocals singing the chorus. What makes these clips unique is not just the speed, but the fact that these "male" backing vocals are present on the verses, which isn't heard in the album mix. Also, I just listened to the clips You Thrill Me posted with headphones. Yes, there is distortion, but i can tell you the original clips didn't have any distortion, at all! Plus, they were 2 separate clips. What was posted has them conjoined together. I have these clips on my external harddrive, but it's malfunctioning and need to get it repaired. I also have it on CDr with the motorola commercial audio, the instrumental excerpt that was initally on the rokr website, and the madonna.com itunes launch audio. But that CDr is at my parents house, and won't be able to get to it till the Holidays :( It's highly unlikely any fan or trader back in 2005 had access to the multitracks to create these. It's 2020 and we still don't have the multitracks, only stems which contains only mixdowns of the vocals and beats that are used on the album, no unused elements.2 points -

People are actually defending that passage? I realize that it's a fantasy, but it's still gross and makes me feel uncomfortable. I appreciate the Sex book as an art piece, but there are some things in there that go beyond art and are just plain disturbing. Luckily it was released before cancel culture was a thing. Also I realize that everyone here is a Madonna fan so of course the vast majority of people aren't going to drag Madge for that part of the book, but I can just imagine the faux outrage by some of y'all if Mariah/Whitney/Gaga/*insert anyone else who's dissed Madge before here* had written that passage, instead.2 points -
i dont agree. she is hardly struggling and always getting headlines. it might not be always good but that is the way of the world. i am sure if shes going to make a few dollars more from streaming before the physical release than she probably is more in the loop than you think.2 points

morons will alwais be morons...about sex book...Honestly I never read it! My english by then was really awful, and then never had the curiosity to read it. I heard about a 15 years , latino boy I guess, fantasy. Honestly not anything on the book schocks me at all, in the art form I really like the book, the colors, the editing, the pictures... But transporting it to real life...No s&m, no dogs, no teenageers. I'm what some people may call "vanilla sex", LOL...regular sex with me. More than that is just...No, thank you, and please fuck you. she as a preference for really young men, not saying anything against her, and people may confuse it. If she gets backlash or whatver that is called, for that thing on Sex book...she has a little fault in it. Somethings shouldnt really be used just to schock. Fantasies, sometimes mean a desire a person has. Not saying she likes to fuck kids, but morons... I guess, knowing her a little, she used that just to schock a little more than everything...not really being open mind about sexuality. Minors, kids...fantasies with them are just horrible. ALmost like making a child a mini adult. Let kids be kids, play with barbies or legos, not dildos. Kids and rape fantasie, and also dogs can be the most schocking in that book. The rest, it's up to anyones privacy.2 points -

The book displays all sexual fantasies that exist (sex with a younger boy, with a daddy, being rapped, bondage, zoofilia, golden showers, and on and on...). It doesn't mean M is into this or that, it just displays with artistic pictures all the sexual fantasies that do exist in this world, nothing more nothing less.1 point -

God I wish my mom didn't try and shield me from Madonna when I was younger. (I think she was trying to keep me from turning gay). I got to see Janet Jackson for the JANET tour 1992 , but my mom didn't get me tickets for The Girlie Show and I didn't think to ask to see Madonna. I don't even think I understood that artists traveled around to different places at the time. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to see her until Drowned World and those were the longest years of my life... from 12 -20. God... what horrible timing for her to stop touring for 8 years.1 point

i am shocked more of her early cruising for (latino) boys havent been brought up to smear her. if she was a man, no doubt her past encounters would be brought up more. if i recall, there was a bit of an eye brow raising with her kissing Chris Finch on the WTG tour back then. i also dont think these days her Open Your Heart video would go over well with the public since it has a young boy hanging out at a strip club.1 point

I became a fan watching the Like A Prayer video premiere on MTV so this is easy for me as I got to experience most of M's career "live" which I wouldn't trade for the world. But I have always said that if I could go back in time that I would love to be able to experience the Virgin era, especially seeing as many Virgin Tour shows as possible especially the first show in Seattle!............1 point

Is stated on the first page that everything is a play on sexual fantasies. There's a 'rape' scenario too that gave her some bad attention years ago. Even that part Dita fantasies about someone that looks young and with not apparent pubes. But she also plays with gerontophilia and looking like a Lolita herself. It's funny how it works for their agenda finding Madonna as a child abuser but have no problem with any Hollywood movie were the main male actor is about 30 years older than their counter female pair.1 point -

Your Three Least Favorite or Least Played Madonna Albums!
gonna dress u up reacted to steady75 for a topic
These are it really. Hard Candy is the most faceless Madonna album of all time. Where is she? I just get nothing from her whatsoever. Like A Virgin era was incredible. Add Into The Groove, Crazy For You and Gambler to that album and it's up there with her best. The album tracks just feel hollow somehow. I love Stay and Over & Over and Love Don't Live Here Anymore are worthy album tracks but Pretender and Shoo Be Doo are way to basic to prop up an album that contains Material Girl and Like A Virgin which were essentially gimmick songs to make noise and arrive. Dress You Up Material Girl Over & Over Into The Groove Angel Like A Virgin Crazy For You Gambler Stay Love Don't Live Here Anymore Is a perfect pop album that equals True Blue and the Debut. MDNA is actually largley shit due to the production and the addition of songs like Superstar, The dreadful vocals and lack of life on Turn Up The Radio and the single choices. Even Gang Bang feels processed. When I heard Madonna screaming on Bitch I'm Madonna she sounded like REAL Madonna. Gang Bang feels like a rehearsal in comparison. At least Madonna is actual present on MDNA even if it was rushed. You can hear her anger, defiance, sorrow and even the the postmortem as it happens. Even the daft frivolous songs like Girl Gone Wild, GMAYL, TUTR and Superstar are the sounds of a recently divorced woman just calling her old friends up, squeezing into her pre marital party frocks and hitting the town smiling and laughing to the world but dying inside a bit. MDNA is her fake smile album but unfortunately the whole thing was delivered and represented poorly so the vibe didn't translate properly. That and the Gaga debacle. I think MDNA will be re viewed in years to come but apart form the Orbit tracks it's rather musicialy bereft. It's an awkward chaotic listen and the tracklist order is as horrendous as Rebel Hearts is...but there's some brilliant but slightly unrealised songs in there.1 point
